Uncovering Tesla’s HORRENDOUS Build Quality

Let’s be real, Tesla has unparalleled tech but mediocre build quality and fit & finish. The differential becomes painfully pronounced when you juxtapose, say, a Model S with something German… or specifically, the king of build quality - the Porsche 993. Some may argue that Tesla is a tech company first and a car manufacturer second, but is that a valid excuse? Can a premium, luxury market car that costs over 6-figures really feel as cheap as a Dodge?

Is the EV tech superiority enough to turn a blind eye… or will these flaws finally become unacceptable as the market crowds with stronger competition?

As a former Porsche technician that was around when the 993 was new those are the absolute best Porsches that were ever built! Even 25 years later the build quality is still there…..Tesla quality is as bad as early 80s GM…

I had a ride in the back of a Tesla and it reminded me a lot of a 1990's Dodge Neon in terms of build quality. It went like stink, but the interior was crap for a anything, but a really low level budget car. At least the back seat did. The seat was also really short and uncomfortable for a 5 foot 10 person.

People have that never owned that generation of porsche will not understand. It's like he stated. It's built like a tank. I bought one brand new. Still have yet to replace one part on it other then maintenance. Tires/brakes/fluids. Still to this day not many cars can our handle or our brake this generation of porsche. Truly amazing cars.

I've said for year teslas have state of the art technology in a terribly built car. They would be better off teaming up with actual car companies and offer a tesla option to their cars. Tesla shouldn't build cars of their own.
