Sn = n/2[2a + (n-1) × d]
S100 = 100/2[2×1 + 99 × 1]
= 50 × 101
= 5050
``~Where a (first term) = 1,
n (total term) = 100,
d (common difference, i.e., 2-1 or 100-99 = 1) = 1
Sn is the sum of n terms i.e., 100 terms

I read this story in my maths text book, old memories 🥲 clear nostalgia

S100= 100/2(1+100)
= 50×101=5050
Formula:
Sn= n/2(a+l)
a is the first term and l is the last term.

The FORMULA can be also written as n(n+1)/2
= 100 × 101 ÷ 2
= 10100/2
= 5050

I add in a bit different way..51+49 52+48....so that every sum will give you 100 and there are 49 such sums so ans is 4900 also adding 50 and 100 in end ..comes with 5050

Number of term/2 (first term + last term )
100/2 (1+100)
50×101
5050 ..

I used formula..but the trick you said is fast sir.

Thank you!

Hi, i want to recommend you how to solve √i and √(i+1) using a system with a pair of equations in it.
It really amazed me the first time i saw how to calculate these.
(For example, to start:
√i=a+bi
i=a²-b²+2abi
And then we start the system:
{0=a²-b²
{i=2abi
And so on.
I think this way is more satisfying than solving it using trigonomentry

A.p method =n/2(first no.+last no.)
Edit n is term

that is super easy if you know square numbers

We can also use n(n+1)/2 to find the sum of first n natural numbers.

So, Sum of 1 to 100 = 5050
Sum of 1 to 1000= 500500
Sum of 1 to 10000 = 50005000 and so on
Actually this formula n(n+1) /2 is also follow this logic. So I never ignore to understand the formulas. They are basically tricks.

I added every number to get hundred (leaving 50) and then added the 100s up and the 50

but the real formula in mathematics is
n(n+1)/2,
in this case, it is
100x101/2
or, 50x101
or, 5050.
therefore the sum is 5050
