The Port of Seattle is dedicated to sustaining, protecting, and enriching urban forests. Since 2015 the Port has planted over 41,000 native trees and 50,000 native shrubs. It is imperative to the health of our community to have access to nature and to increase tree canopy to fight the effects of climate change. Environmental Program Manager Chipper Maney and Commissioner Toshiko Hasegawa discuss our Environmental Land Stewardship Principles.
