Flying to ECUADOR - Not what I expected! | ECUADOR TRAVEL GUIDE

Flying to Ecuador with new regulations can be confusing, especially leaving Canada with a stop over in the United States and then onto Quito and finally Cuenca Ecuador.

But in some ways was much easier than I expected. I was so thankful to fly to Ecuador with Delta, they had an amazing crew in Toronto who really helped navigate the stopover in the United States as I needed to also meet all of the US restrictions for flying into the United States even though I was only there for 12 hours.

I flew Toronto to Atlanta to Quito and finally a LATAM flight to Cuenca. Normally I would have taken a bus from Quito to Cuenca, which is around $12 but also up to 10+ hours.

I do love buses in Ecuador because you can look out the window, but being inside a bus with so many people for ten hours made me realize a $50 flight from Quito to Cuenca, which takes 45 minutes was smarter.

Great information! I'm travelling to Quito in a few weeks, do you recommend the hotel near the airport and, if so, what is the name? Thanks, safe travels.

Glad you finally made it to Ecuador!! I was wondering when you would be going. Good tips about NEXUS; my application for Global Entry is pending review, don't know if I'll be able to interview by the time I head to Mexico in November. 😅 Can't wait to see more of your Ecuador videos!

Young Lady you are just about the best flyer I have come across. I assure you that anyone you had contact with at the Quito Airport appreciated you. I moved to Ecuador from the U.S. ten years ago and I am so proud of the Quito Airport. And Ecuador has the nicest people in the World. I too remember when it was in downtown Quito. Our new airport opened the day I moved here permanently. They have added to the new airport twice and have plans for more expansion. The airport has won all kinds of awards each year, which you can read about on the website news. So glad you are enjoying yourself You must take a trip up to Cotacachi and Otavalo.

Totally in love with your videos. Professionally done and great content. I walked the Camino de Santiago this past October with a 40L backpack and had tons of room left over.

Hi, I watched thks video a couple of weeks ago, but decided to watch again since my departure for Cuenca from the U.S. is getting closer. Good tips about the service you used to bypass long lines in the U.S. This could be very helpful; however, I think it is only good for landing in U.S. and going somewhere else... When you stopped in Quito, what was the name of your lodging? Was it close to the airport? I am also going to land in Quito at 8p, then I will crash and go to Cuenca the next day. Did you dine anywhere.

Airport did look amazing compared to the one we flew into in 2011. The view from your rooms takes me back to our trip. Enjoy.

Enjoyed the detail in your video, What was the name of the airbnb or room you stayed in Quito overnight for $25?? Would be interested cuz i just need a place for a night. And it had shuttle service to pick you up @airport? Did the driver find you inside the airport or did you have to go outside? Wow. Glad you made it there safely. Iam 28 days away to taking my first flight to Quito then Cuenca! So excited!

I would choose fruit and cheese because I can’t eat bread (celiac) I can imagine that anyone who is vegetarian/vegan, Muslim or Jewish also wouldn’t choose the sandwich due to it having ham and cheese. No biggy…….just bringing awareness that we all make different choices for different reasons. Glad to see you made it to Ecuador. I really hope you enjoy it
