The EU 🇪🇺 is the largest economy in the world. The US abandoning Ukraine would be the ultimate wake up call for the EU for rebuilding a sovereign defense industry (France pushed for this internally during decades, it would do our business, even if sad for Ukraine). On the other hand, the money saved for the US is obviously at the expense of future gas and weapons export deals, as well as reputational damage in terms of credibility.
