I do think that Senadina is one of the best valks to pull for because you nearly have to use her in every p2 team, even Songque can use her bc of her passive which gives crit rate when she has elemental breach!

Unironically it's the best time to start right now or in a couple updates as the meta is changing fast right now in a good sense and they are adding quality of life changes. Plus the game has nearly 100 playable characters by now and you are gonna receive dozens of them even as just a F2P in your first months of starting now and some of them will be meta even as they change the ones they give each time and they want to give meta valkryries for free anyway.

This patch is the best since you'll have enough time to farm crystals and pull for 7.8 banners. Also, the starter manual changed to Pardo and AE which are both really beginner/temporary supports to any Part 1 character you have or you want (if you don't mind the meta). Meta wise, pulling the latest for beginners is the best course most of the time. S Ranks usually get at least 1 year in the meta. Luna + Bigseo will get 7.7 Teri as their new support buffing the team. FoV will most likely get also new supports soon.

But I don't think what I've said got a huge contribution to why you should play HI3 at this point. HI3's main driving point is the story and characters. The gameplay is attractive and good for an 8 year old game, but tbh, all the people I know that played this for gameplay rather than story already quit.

TLDR: If you're interested in HI3/Honkaiverse/Hoyoverse lore, characters, gameplay and variety of things then HI3 is for you and it's never too late to start. But if you feel like you're attracted to gameplay but not story, then this game isn't for you. The competitive and ever-changing meta might drive you insane once you already depleted the starter rewards.

The game is VERY friendly to new players.
Part 2 especially helpful because the support valks for it are mostly universal buffers with good chemistry.

More detail if interested for players who think about joining:
Coralie - can be paired with anything from part 2 valkyries, for Resonance and Shadows she works amazingly for both, Helia is good for lightning dps valks of part 2 and this video comes out in the perfect timing for that as well, because in Version 7.7 the valk released will be perfect fit exactly like Senadia is, for both Coralie and Helia who are free from Asterite Shop to get and Coralie's weapon from story.
There are also many easy to craft stigmata not necessarily the signature stigmata of them because we do want to save up on prism material, but a bit of browsing or asking for help in the discord and people do find you many great substitutes, plus you can always take a moment to read through and consider crafting stuff on a whim because there's a good abundancy of materials to craft the low rank stigmata of part 1

In part one you need 100 to guaranty the valkyrie and 200 for the full gear that not talking about the luck if you are truly lucky you could get everything in no more than 50 pull as for part 2 you could get evey thing valkyrie + her full gear in 150 pull that mean we have to use 50% less crystals than part one valkyries but if you are a true meta player than you need to do extra 2x60 pull for the weapon to get 2 extra weapon to raise the synergy of your weapon to the max.

Your correct unlike before part 2 the meta team is focus base on element/type of the valkyrie but today it more of the newer part 2 valkyries . the part 2 valkyries can support each other.

one a postive look if you dont divide the valks in part 1 & 2 the powercreep didnt changed its same if we look closely.
Now is did completed my trio over sena and i liked it ...we sometimes take abyss to seriously ..yeah i may not be in redlotus or agony but the crystals income and cost of valks are so good right now i cant complain ...like i came back on anniversary got 30k .
Its good for returnees they dont have to catchup that much now just pull latest valk.
One last thing just enjoy ER forget abyss mald and honkai is the only game that lets us farm limited old valks...never missing out.

Bro I've gotten all part 2 valks with full gear so far, and i didn't even get too lucky, especially for weapons i went to near max pity. And all this without skipping fu hua before part 2 started. It's honestly not hard to get pulls, I'm not a new player so i don't have all the bonuses. I'd say hi3 is actually the easiest to build/get characters, you don't need mats or other stuff for your character upgrade, it's literally just exp and coins, and skills are mostly just coins. Hi3 will only be frustrating if you try to play for the meta without wanting to splash some money. I never understood that people say it's competitive. The leaderboard is just there, you can absolutely not give a damn about it.

so with all the current valkryies for part 2, i think almost every element is covered.

I think they might release a bio or imaginary part 2 valk next (maybe ice idk, also rip trio team if IMG). But with Fu hua being the last bio I'm not too sure . 🤔 or even they might screw us over and give us a new type Valk. 😢
Anyway i think if you manage to get the Valks up to Teri you pretty much can chill or start skipping patches. much easier to get 6 characters rather than 15 and their gear 🐋

if you have full part 2 team, you are good for majority weathers in abyss. I'm literally maintaining RL and its a joke 😆. i think if i keep doing so well i might promote to Nirvana.

i do hope they start switching the beginner banner to astral units then. i think that would also be helpful in getting the full team.

If you have the part 2 Valkyries, RL is a joke in exalted. You could literally retain or even +100 trophies in abyss playing with just your non dominant hand while furiously beating it to Songque x Thelema R34 with your dominant hand.

on a serious note, one advice i would give is: sometimes you gotta take the L in some weathers. Dont let that disapoint you. Power through the horrible shame of losing trophies in abyss. as long as that doesn't break your spirit, you can just earn them trophies back on a weather you can compete in.

I couldn't afford more than the monthly crystal pack and the occasional BP every few months so i had to skip so many Valks. I would make sure I stack them trophies in abyss so when the next boss comes in and I have to copium with Flamescion instead of Garuda, it won't relegate me. If ur lucky enough you might even have slackers in the group and you end up top 10 in the bracket.

In SEA there is the occasional sweaty mf in RL, but 90% of the time you can one hand the game (wink wink). Nirvana was even more fun but i have skill issues so it takes me much longer to score the same as one guy one trying it so I just gave up malding and now im just going back n forth depending on mood and luck 😂

I have 560 stamina and I have no idea what to use it on. Theirs on event out right now and I can’t do much of the Elysian realm or abyss I’ve done what I can. Also quick level up for weapons is such a nice feature. I’ve got mobius and like nothing else, should I summon? Also if I want to get a character and there stigmata’s and weapon how much should I save roughly? Also does pity go across banners like hsr? About Divine keys would you ever want to unbind them? Also I love your voice🙂. Oh also my team currently is. Infinite ouroborus. Fallen rosemary and fischl with lighting angles as my weapon in infinite ouroborus(mobius) so uh how bad is my team? Also I just used my full ice team with bronya(yes the one with the motorcycle) on the wolf boss from genshin I thinks it’s immune to ice☠️🙂

Iv never fully geared a pt2 valk i usually get the valk n stigs then
Save crystals when they spin back i get the weapon cuz im f2p id recommend it if u cant farm much crystals as a f2p

Yes. It's the easiest one to roll every characters, no 50 50, only 1 valk per 6 patches except special patches. Story is superb. with 4 characters you can cover the game vs 12 at least before

Like people getting mad at S ranks back to back when they couldn't even full gear just 1 S rank in Part 1 in multiple patches because it was so damn expensive for the gear lmao.
Part 2 story is a massive banger that overshadow a vast majority of Part 1 aside the ends of huge arcs that had been going on for ages. Same goes for 1.5. Salt Snow was a banger + Vita is the best thing to happen to the game since Elysia.

They complain a lot about the UI being confusing. I'll just say that they just need to read. Nothing's hard in reading, if anything, HSR and ZZZ are as confusing in that way. Multiple menus everywhere, boohoohoohoo scary!

Those who say it's too time consumming when you literally just have to play the story and do you abyss 2 days a week and arena if you want to. ER just needs 1 run a week except if you wanna empty the shop fast. Doing basic dailies takes less than 10 clicks lmao (when you reach a certain level).

Seriously, sometimes I ask myself if those doomers really read anything or have ever played the game at all when they invent a glorious past to the game that never existed. Part 2 is just a massive upgrade in every way. Your Kiana isn't Meta anymore, deal with it. The trio's stories are over, get over them.

Hey idk if u recognize me but ik the guy who quit at the start of part 2 cuz as f2p it was borderline impossible to keep up with the meta I did maintain redlotus for about a year so, no I'm not talking out of spite. Has that aspect changed with part 2? If so I might pick it up again give me your thoughts. I have 0 xtals saved up and no part 2 valks, except for Carol and the other part 2 A rank girl from start of part 2 patch

As someone who played since 2.6 all the way back in january 2019 I'd say — yes, it is too late.
Some old things that made the game good are either ruined or removed entirely while part 2 changes mostly don't work for the community, and the game lost half of it's revenue in the last year (going from already slightly less popular part 1.5 to part 2). And it becomes more and more obvious the devs don't understand what exactly players liked in part 1, and instead implement more questionable changes..
