Due to their flaws and weaknesses, anti-heroes tend to be more relatable and sympathetic than traditional heroes.
Anti-heroes are loved because they reflect the duality of man. Both good and bad traits combine to create a more, human, character. One who doesn't often pick the high road, but rather the road of necessity. The selfish choice, but still for a good cause.

"So, that's it then. You made your choice." She couldn't bear to look at us, her voice sounded in pain. "Yes we have, and now this is the end. You honestly thought that it wouldn't come to this?" "No I expected this from you, but not from him." I too couldn't bear to look at her. "But, it's not like I'm mad. In fact I'm happy." A grin started to appear across her face, I felt a shiver up my spine. "Because now I know who I can take my anger out on!" The chains binding her hands shattered. Lightning shot out of her eyes. "What.. wait wait wait!" "TOO BAD!" With a single swipe his head fell clean off. I fell to the ground backing away in fright. "I saw that tiny glimmer of guilt in your face, and that is why I won't tell. But let me be clear, from here on out, I make the rules, I tell you what to do. I decide our actions. I won't betray our cause. But I won't let anyone stop it, even you."

I’m not a hero, and therefore I do not have the moral objections a hero would have. Pick this fight, and find out exactly how far I am willing to go, and why after dozens of battles, nobody ever threatens those I care about.”

The guards opened the door to the room containing her, as I walked in she shifted, but didn't look up. Chains bound her wrists, ankles, and even her neck,
"So they've finally sent someone to question me, I was beginning to think you wouldn't show." She said, looking up, only to see me. She seemed surprised for a moment, before smiling sweetly.
"Hello my love. It's been a while hasn't it?"
I could barely look at her, this person, this person who I loved, she killed my brother and is here acting like nothing happened.
"Why did you do it?" I asked. "Why did you blow up the tower?"
"you know they would've hunted me down if I let them live, I had to get the heros out of the way."
"My brother was in there. I said, eyes beginning to water, but never spilling. "He was in there and you knew it!"
She smiled at me once more. "But now we can finally be together, just as we used to dream about as kids, do you remember that? It was a small price to pay-"
"A small price to pay?" I yelled as I realized the gravity of the situation. "It was you wasn't it? You're the one that killed my parents. You've taken everyone from me! You took my father and my mother! I tried my best to forgive you, but he was the last straw!"
Her smile disappeared. "What are you saying?"
"I'll make sure you never see the light of day again." I said, lowering my head.
For a moment I thought I saw a flash of lightning across her eyes. She lowered her head, as her voice took on a dangerous tone.
"You mean that after all that I've done for us, all that we've been through! You're just going to leave me?"
She threw her head up, her eyes now crackling with electricity.
"I thought I could salvage you Elise! Give you a home and a friend! But I see now that you can't be helped! You're a monster!"
She looked shocked, dropping her gaze.
"A monster." She whispered softly. She stayed still for a count of three before she began to smile again, but this one was different, it was malicious.
"A monster." She repeated, louder this time. "You dare betray me after all that I've done for you. You dare say I'm the one at fault. No…"
She straightened her back, looking me in the eyes, before continuing.
"I'll show you what it is to be a monster."
I took a tentative step back as the room began to shake violently.
The electricity arched across her body as the sirens began to wail. The wing began to pick up until it became a whirlwind. I shielded myself, trying to remain standing, as objects flew around the room. Every hair on my body stood on end as a tingle traveled up and down my spine.
I covered my eyes as a bolt of lightning tore through the ceiling striking Elise in a mighty explosion that threw me across the room.
As I recovered I looked to the sky, the biggest storm I'd ever seen continued to form above the asylum. The sky itself was a sheet of red thunder clouds.
Elise shifted and the shackles shattered like glass. She laughed as she looked upon my sprawled form. She held out her hand, gathering lightning from the clouds.
I thought I was going to die, but a blue shield suddenly trapped her. The guards appeared on either side to pull me up.
"We need to get out of here now!"
I ran with them as fast as I could. As I looked back I saw Elise punch the shield and a Crack spiderwebbed across its surface.
As we approached the transportation shuttle outside there was an explosion within the building and Elise shot through the top of it, free of the barrier.
When she saw us she hurled lightning at the transport. One of the bolts grazed the side but the rest missed.
When we were out of reach I heard her voice in my head, although choked with tears it was clear as day;

"I will find you Tobias, and when I do, I will make you suffer."

Or fight me and run the risk of your people burning in hell?" *her voice began warping, as if the evil within had been awoke*

"I know what i must do, but i dont want to, though, after you slaughtered my *Vengeance* is all that remains of the old me that you knew" *as the eyes of the warrior glowed red, his armor caught fire in crimson flames*

*"I shall do what the old merciful me could never do, i will end this....Once And For All"*


*the traitor recoils back a bit, fear instilled in her heart, for the kind and caring warrior she once knew was gone, she now stares into the eyes of Vengeance itself*
"No...please, dont do can fix everything!"

*"it is too late for that TRAITOR!"*

*the two then clashed in a blinding flash of light, as the screen fades to black, roll credits*
