Chris ... I'm crying. I just want to say thank you from my heart. We, the fans who love your music are your legacy. Your music has meant SO MUCH to me throughout my life. I was introduced to your music by a friend in the late 80's (at Uni) and loved it I've never stopped listening to you. Just before I left University, I played and sang "Where Peaceful Waters Flow" on 12-string acoustic (accompanied by two friends - one who introduced your music to me) as a fitting tribute to one of the happiest periods of my life. This song is beautiful. You are a wonderful human being. For the record, my favourite song of yours is probably "Transmission Ends" probably followed by "If you really love her let her go". Chris, thank you (tears). I mean it. ❤

I remember when I was 19 yo, I use to listen repeatedly to many songs of Chris De Burgh "The Traveller, The Spanish Train, The leader, Sailor, Eastern Wind...." . A lot of people around me use to tell me that being addicted to this kind of music is causing me anxiety and it's the reason why I was mostly sad at that time and that sometimes I act and think like a 40 years old man.
They weren't able to understand how can I be addicted to Chris's songs and to hardcore gangsta rap music at the same time, they use to say that is very paradoxal.
