Finding a musical connection between the notes is one of the most difficult but most important things when it comes to making music and not just playing piano. One thing that always helps me to find this connection is the 80/20 Rule...

On this channel I am going to share my experience and thoughts about fingerings, interpretation, fingertechniques and playing piano in generel. If you have any questions or ideas please leave it in the comments!

During practice, the possible aim is to have all the music (the flow, timing, sound, everything) inside the mind --- being transferred to the piano as close as possible. Ideally - transferred exactly, even though that's the 'ideal' case. And when it comes a time to perform, then there certainly is thinking involved - but much less of it, as that's when the body is in a particular state that still has control and some thinking - but a lot of it is supervised auto-pilot mode. In top gun maverick -- quote 'If you think, you're dead'. And Bruce Lee -- "don't think feel". Although - as for concert piano players, such as Annique's case. That is certainly a special type of people that can carry out their plans properly at that level. But - as for the concepts demonstrated in the video, I'm just coming back to it again. It's still golden. Golden information.

I'm a scientist also a piano enthusiast(amateur but seriously), I studied science many years, your explanation is in touch with universe nature.

Hello, Annique. Mozart said that music is what happens between the notes. You just made that real for me.

Many thanks Annique. You've put into words very eloquently something I've taught for a long time simply as - 'I listen to the notes, and they tell ME how the next is to be.' I think it's just this connection/connecting that is the real music... (rather than the notes themselves) ... the thread that runs through everything, just as it does when we talk, and I sense that it's similar for you?
