been on iracing for a good 5-6 months, just making it to C class. i did literally everything you said in this video. one thing i do recommend before getting into a race is to do a few hot laps in the car & track you’re going to race then after you’re warmed up a bit, do 1 or 2 Ai races just to practice race craft and awareness. then hop into that real race once you feel comfortable and confident!

My advice after having been on for a few months is to never, never, never qualify at a rookie race. Always start from the back and allow the chaos to happen in front of you. I have won or placed high in races after watching everyone else crash out.

Some of my tipps :
- Do online practices, you can learn a lot from looking at other drivers. Do some laps and then look at the fastest lap someone made.
- Before buying content, look if the series is still active, some are really dead like the mission R. Where are communities around some niche series like the vintage IMSA (formely known as Kamel GT) or the supercars. Super friendly with some time slots that race each week.
- Make some friends or even join a team after a while, endurance racing is where the real fun begins
- Don't jump around to much between the serieses during a week, practice the combo you like the most that week and then do as many races as you like. You'll progress a lot and the racing will become closer and closer untill you're able to fight for wins.
- Slow is smooth and smooth is fast
- Miata, this car is a total gem with the most instense racing on the plateforme, you can learn so much from that car and fights are a lot easier in slower cars.

My advice for new players: Don't be scared of Iracing! It's just a game like every other game. Don't worry about safety rating and Irating they don't mean much. Have fun and race!

Also, if you are used to drive clean lobbies in GT7, Project cars, Assetto Corsa or similar, the same rules apply. Clean experienced racers from other sims will have an easy time getting into Iracing. I used around 30 races in both road and oval to get A license and never demoted since then. I'm around 2500 irating and if I can do it - you can do it!

I came to Iracing few weeks ago after 700h on ACC and I really enjoy Iracing mostly for the number of players and the fact that Iracing seems easier for me than ACC (I can explain further if this is strangely said)
Anyway good video for rookies, I don’t particularly see myself as a rookie but more for what I see in races and stuff like that (I’m only high C in SA and still make a lot of free content).
I’m starting to explore Iracing content on ytb and you seems very kind and chill so imma give a follow, great vid!

As good as the community is, there's not a chance I'm paying £11 for a circuit + another £11 for a car to drive on that circuit. I'll just stick to the free content for the year.

Just met a fast driver with atrocious safety rating. Probably a Forza aficionado. 2.2k driver with 1.8 D class. Blocked passes, sent stupid dives, rejoined without thinking and destroyed my car, cut chicane 2x in PCC Charlotte roval 2018 and in second cut intentionally wrecked me after it and gave us both a DQ. Complete helmet.😢

Funny thing is, even with 19 incidents, he gained safety rating. How the hell do you keep it that low then? A feat worthy of ridicule.
