Best thing is to not upgrade from a 3060 to a 4060. Every time you upgrade try getting a better experience that you had before. Like switching from 1080p to 1440p gaming. The best upgrades are the ones that make you experience something completely different. So i recommend saving for better.

I upgraded from a 3070 ti to a 4080 super. It was a significant increase in performance, especially at 4K.

Considering how big of an audience Zach has, I think I should point out one thing that may be misleading: by DLSS 3, he means the FG. 20 and 30 series cards still can use the latest versions of main DLSS and ray reconstruction. Also worth noting upcoming FSR 3.1 might make 30 series cards more competitive too

If people upgrade from rtx 30 series to the 40 series, then the 30 series would get cheaper and the 3060 would become the new gtx 1060 ti, and the rtx 4060 would probably get a lot more demand.

I got a great upgrade I had a rtx 3060 sold it for £320 and brought a rx 6800xt red devil for £480 massive upgrade

It is also a good idea if you have a budget card like 3050/3060, but now you can afford a midrange or a high end card like 4070 Super/Ti Super/4080 Super.

Strix 4080 super here 😉 OC myself got 420watts out of it and 3000mhz. Lucky silicon. So I'm set it was well worth it for me. I'm getting massive gains over the 3080.

I have a gtx 780 and today I should get delivery of my RTX 4060 that I ordered.. I think that’s a sensible upgrade, rather than going from 30’ series to 40’ series

Anndd whatever month I get that setup this year I’ll play EVERY game. I notice it’s not a lot of unknown games on that setup published.
