My Dad had an English Mastiff and when I was younger he was beating me up in the front yard and she Growled and snapped and him she got mad!! She loved My brothers and I sooo much ! So loyal and huge She was such a good Dog!! She was My Dads Dog but we were the ones that Fed her and took her out for walks. She knew who took care of her!

Once you hit 700 psi you have a dog that is a loaded gun with a brain. I own two male Cane Corso's. They are the most loyal, devoted and loving dogs with their family. Bred as war dogs that fought in the crusades. This instinct is in this breed. They are brave and don't cowar from a threat. Training and socializing is important to keep other animals and innocent humans safe. With socializing they will know the difference of a safe and dangerous situation. Yes they will still fiercely protect you and their home.
When another dog chews on your furniture there is a little damage. When a Cane Corso chews your possessions they are ruined.
These dogs are great with children in it's family but then you need to be careful if your child has friends over playing rough. Your dog might think your child is under attack and you have neighbor children at risk of being bit. These dogs need strong guidance and not good for inexperienced owners. Their new popularity is a concern to me..

What about the Chihuahua with a bite force of 3900 psi

For anyone who thinks a dog with a higher psi would beat a lion just remember that the hyena has a bite force of around 1100 psi and is the same size as a dog, however a hyena is too scared to fight a lion on its own as it knows a lion would beat it. Same with the dogs.

I once photographed a girlfriends dog, it was a Kangal. never knew it was this powerful. I mean you could feel a certain vibe over the dog that you will never mess with this dog because her appearance and how she acts. When photographing we sat down to review the pictures on the camera. I only saw this dog twice, but the dog walked over and came sitting next to us. eventually the dog gave me a lick in my face lol. it was a female Kangal but she was really sweet. also a great guardian because when a guy was shouting in the street (someone with physical problems) but she immediately in protection and alert modus. its a majestical breed if socialized and trained well.

I had a german shepherd, lost him last year bless him, now I've got a cane corso X American bullmastiff she's a puppy but she's crazy. Love big dogs though.
