Thanks Brian for this very important lesson, I live in Lusaka, Zambia and there is no one teaching pool here, but with your videos am enjoying the game more and now I face people that I could only admire on the table.

I like your advice about being professional at the table; when you miss go and sit down, don't upset yourself and expose anything to your opponent....it has helped me, thank you....

FX always on point. Just won my first tournament, these shots as well as a few others that FX preaches brought it home for me. Thanks Coach B.

I play 8 ball pool in the uk. Slightly different, but some great advice here. I’m a bit behind you in terms of knowledge, but not too far, and am hoping to reach your kind of level in the next few years. My cueing and stance, potting accuracy are all good, I just need to master the side spin. Appreciate your videos, and will be watching more. Have noticed you reply to every comment, what a great work ethic, and a class act, much respect and all the best with your channel

Once again excellent teaching. Btw, it was the “5 must have shots” that led me to your channel

I have to say, out of all the YouTube pool instructors I watch your scenarios and advice are usually much more relatable to a player of my skill level. I'm an APA 5. Hoping to go up one day. I owe my thanks.

Man, Bryan, you’re upping your game in these recent videos. I love how you give “real world” advice; stuff that actually comes up in a game, rather than just recommending to do certain drills. It makes it easier for me to learn because I don’t get as frustrated practicing this way. Thanks for all you do!

The 5 must have pool shoots series is one of my go to videos, I watch at lease 2 before I head the pool hall...And maybe one of the mistakes everyone makes videos. My biggest take away today would be, "To always look at the shot first". I find myself forgetting that sometimes when everything is like running on autopilot.

This is quite powerful! Thanks Bryan. I'm headed to the table to work on this. Great way to learn english, throw adjustment, speed control, aiming, all in one shot... Genius!!!!
Your tip about using the same spot for English so you can keep it simpler to get consistent has helped me quite a bit as too.
This is such a great, no BS, pool channel.

As a guy that's also played "around" 30 years, I guessed what shot you were talking about before watching.
It's very common and versatile.

You put out good content, man. I appreciate the humility you bring. As my parents taught me, there's a fine line between confidence and cockiness. You have to be confident to succeed, just don't let it go to your head. 👍

Happy holidays!

This is such an important shot and one I practice every time I get a chance. It can really make a big difference in your position play. Once you get the hang of it, especially the running english shot, it becomes fairly easy to get almost anywhere. The difficult part of this shot is the inside english as you mentioned. Yes, you make it look really easy, but if a guy/gal works on this shot for a few weeks they can become pretty proficient at it.

I also practice versions of this shot with no running english, but instead use different levels of center on the cue ball. Learning those shots can also help you get to many places, just like running english, but you don't have to worry about deflection or spin induced throw. Real world videos like this are such a big help to many of us.

Excellent video B. Would love to see more videos like that on a few different angles and they definitely require a high level of skill, and speed control. Maby even some 2 Rail Bank/Kick shots thanks for everything you do for us
