FIRST LOOK: 2023 Acura Integra Prototype

Показать описание
The Acura Integra is making a comeback next year, two decades after the Japanese brand killed it off to replace it in North America with the RSX from 2002-2006, though that car was sold as the Honda Integra everywhere else.

While revealed in "Prototype" form, past Honda and Acura models tell us that it's pretty much production ready. Power for the 2023 Acura Integra that's based on the latest Honda Civic will come from the Civic Si's 1.5-liter turbocharged four with a 6-speed manual gearbox being available.

They completely blew their chance to bring back something great

This was painful.
If they had just reintroduced any prior version-people would have been happier.

Ok, the new-gen Acura Integra side profile looks a lot like the side profile of the new-gen Honda Civic Hatchback, clearly, it’s riding a version of the new-gen Honda Civic platform, I hope its 1.5 I4 turbo makes a little more than the Civic (180 hp / 177 tq) or Civic Si (200 hp / 192 tq) engine, an auto will also be available, but a 6-speed manual is standard, I'm also assuming, there will be a Type S version based off the upcoming new-gen Honda Civic Hatchback Type R, hopefully, Acura adds AWD and an adaptive suspension, too differentiate the 2

They should have just reproduced the dc2 with a little spiff. This looks nothing like an integra. Bummer.

It is a nice car, but I don't see any Honda Integra here. For a Honda this is a disaster.

They could have done better than that, back In the day integra was the bomb but this doesn’t capture my attention at all it’s just like that Acura sedan that they have now

Literally, every other Integra used was a Coupe, yet we get this monstrosity. How do you use nothing but Integra Coupes in your reveal? Literally, if Acura's goal was to piss off every single Integra enthusiast they succeeded. No Coupe, $30, 000 base price, weak ass 1.5L Turbocharged engine, who even needs the LSD it's got 19" tires and low HP it ain't going to spin tires, looks like an ILX/Civic & sides resemble 4 door Mustang, embossing you can't even read, none true heritage color, painted inside of the exhaust, a spoiler if you can even call it one that you can hardly notice, and a stupid ass decal. The only thing they managed not to do to piss us all off was offer a 6 Speed Manual but in every other sense of the word, they succeeded in pissing us off.

Do any of the Integras shown here have 4 doors except the new one? No! So why does it have 4 door?? Don't use the name for nostalgic manipulation to get people to buy your vehicle. Completely missed the mark 🤦‍♂️
