We take our first look at the production-spec 2023 Acura Integra at its debut event!

Months after seeing the Integra prototype, this production model showcases the car's interior and gives us a look at trim breakdown. Starting at just over $30,000 the Integra will be offered in base form, A-Spec, and A-Spec Technology – with the latter getting pretty much all of the equipment that you want.

A CVT comes standard, however a six-speed manual is an option on the middle and highest-tier. All Integras are powered by a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder making 200 horsepower and 192 lb-ft. Acura says the dynamics are unique to Integra, and tuned to be different than the Civic Si.

Inside, the Integra offers an interior that's closely related to the Civic Si, but with more premium touches like heated, bolstered front seats and ambient lighting. An ELS sound system is optional on the highest trim.

We expect to review the Integra on the road in the coming months, and the car is scheduled to go on sale later this year.

To me, it just makes the Civic Sport Touring Hatch 6spd that much more attractive of a deal. I even think the Civic Hatch looks better.

I like it, but why should you have to buy the most expensive top trim to get the manual transmission?

Just noticed after watching a few videos that there's no rear wiper?

Finally the integrity of Integra has been re-established. Unfortunately I can't go back 22 years back in high school this used to be my dream car. 😂😂😂😂

If people are still hating on this car because "it's a rebadged Honda Civic/Honda Civic Si" and forgot that all Integras were rebadged Honda Civics/Honda Civic Si's including the RSX, are you even considered an Integra enthusiasts?

If you think the DC2 Integra Type R and DC5 RSX Type S are the only cars (coupe body styles specifically) that define the Integra nameplate in its 3-door coupe variant and think the 3-door coupe variants of the Integra (and RSX) were only a coupe when the Integras of Generations 1-3 had 4-door sedan and 5-door liftback variants, are you even considered an Integra enthusiast?

If you think the Integra never had a Type R sedan/liftback back in the early-to-mid 90s (maybe not in the U.S., but certainly in Japan), are you even considered an Integra enthusiast?

Sure, the Integras (and the RSX) had different design language from the four generations. Yes, the Integras and RSX's used JDM engines whereas the Civic Si used USDM engines. The Civic Si and forbidden fruit Civic Type R's all likely drove very different from the Integra GS-R's, USDM Integra Type R's, and RSX Type S's. At the end of the day, the Integra (as well as RSX) was still a fancier Civic underneath with the Acura badge and a nicer interior. The new Integra is a continuation of that formula today as it was in years past for the Integra and RSX.

How close-minded, dumbfounded, and one-sided do people have to be about the Integra just because it's not the Integra they once knew and this Integra does not meet their unrealistic expectations of what they think the car should be to the rest of the world and they think will sell only to a small portion of the enthusiast market in North America as oppose to mass market? The unrealistic expectations of the so-called self-proclaimed Integra diehards would be the exact reason Acura won't get out of the red of unprofitability.

It makes me wonder how people are going to act slamming the Integra Type S comes with the 6th gen Civic Type R's V2 of the K20C1 engine in it. After the abrupt cancellation of the WRX STI this past Friday (March 11th, 2022), do these Integra diehards want to lose another high-performance car 2 times in a row in one year or will they keep their mouths close and be grateful this car (unlike the now-defunct WRX STI) is actually happening and going to show the world that the Integra Type S will live up to everything the JDM Integra Type R sedan and USDM Integra Type R coupe left for it to fulfill as the successor to its predecessor siblings?

The Guage cluster reminds me of the rsx with the silver

Does anyone know what the story is with the Integra in red? It’s being shown in red but the pre-orders only show blue, grey, white and black.

Thanks for the review and peek into and around the car!
Why do you think Acura isn't letting anyone start the engine and let folks drive it around? I would think it'll only get them more sales!

To be honest, the power was the biggest let down in my opinion. I would have liked to have seen the 2.0T with the manual transmission from the Accord. It made 252 horsepower along with 273 lb-ft of torque and for a car (Accord) that weighs 3300 lbs, it did 0-60 in 5.3 seconds which is impressive. Considering that the Civic Si weighs about 3000lbs, the Acura should be maybe 150lbs heavier, so the engine from the accord would have been a perfect pairing in this Integra to make it worth my while ponying up the extra $3, 000 over the base price of an Si. While we all know that Acura kind of missed the mark in keeping in line with the older integras, the more potent power plant in the accord would have been nice and I am sure most people will agree with me on that.

looks awesome just like where it belongs fun fact the original integra was a 5 door fastback/sedan before the 2 door coupe was introduced

Only 200 HP?? The old Type R had a 1.8 making 195 HP. That was about 20 years ago.

If you need more power, shift at a higher rpm period. Talking trash at “max” hp while shift at 1800 for best mpg is the most common behavior

The Mazda 3 turbo AWD looks better, more horsepower and will be a better choice.

This car is just a a slightly nicer civic si that also comes with a cvt. 11th gen si is a better value for your money. People who are thinking of buying this car are the same people who are thinking to get a si or a type r and honestly both those car are just better valued especially when the new type r comes out
