The fact that after a plunge of 2 1/4 miles, hitting the bottom at 35 mph, and under 5, 300 psi of water pressure for 113 years that so much survives, I think it shows just how well built the Titanic was.

As a welder fabricator i work with heavy structural steel on a daily basis. The forces involved to cause THAT much damage both on her way down to the impact with the ocean are absolutely mind boggling looking at those cargo cranes with their booms twisted like wet noodles.... Just damn. Not too mention how the impact caused the framing to blow out like that.

I can't believe how disintegrated the Titanic is, but then I remember how long the ship has been sitting down there. The way the whole outer structure of the boat has collapsed like that is mind-blowing!
Thanks for the show and tell Mike!

I think what makes it so haunting is that ( what you said in the video ) this isn't the work of someone's imagination it exactly what you would see if you went down there.
Also Knowing that at this time in 1912 people were ether finishing off eating and retired for the evening not knowing that in a few days time they would be fighting for their lives just makes this video more poignant.
Great informative video as always Mr. Bradey and team!

Monetizing the output from this exploration by putting it into an immersive game was brilliant. Kudos! I hope this model is used to fund the exploration of more interesting places most people will never be able to experience in person.

If you compare the first grainy, blurry images captured by Dr Ballard, when they first found the Titanic…to the technology we have now, it’s crazy the difference!

It's really incredible that they could create an open world like this, I look forward to the giant 3d printed museum exhibit. It's absolutely diabolical that the focus is a real time submersible in 3rd person.

I am glad they did these scans, not only digitally preserving the wreck for the future, but creating a way for us all to see and explore it without and risk or danger at all.

I wish they’d do scans of SS US before she’s sank…

"If I look confused or horrified it's because I am both of those things" haha, you are not alone! I really enjoyed this Mike, your passion is admirable.

I was having trouble with the sheer scale of this just from the rov, but when he turned the corner to see the engines, wow, that made me gasp lol

It's incredible to think that objects made of porcelain, glass and other delicate materials (like plates, windows, etc) survived all this and are still at the bottom with the rest of Titanic.

Mike, thank you for showing emotion during this amazing fly around, and not editing it out.
It keeps the humanity intact for what is essentially a memorial for the hundreds of lives lost in this tragedy.
Wonderful channel. 🚢❤️

@26:52 Yes, Mike. The ocean be a classless mistress, arrr.
The entire time I was watching this, my jaw was dropped. I thought the Demo 401 was amazing, but this whole thing is amazing on a different level. You are actually looking at the real thing. I could spend hours in this looking around the ocean floor for various items, never mind exploring the wreck itself. You rock, Mike. Thank you for doing what you do.

When you said this is the first time you were playing this and you were reacting in real time, I had to replay it to make sure I heard you correctly. That proves once again how remarkable you are! We are all so fortunate to benefit from your expertise. Thank you for your generosity in sharing it with us!
