Wow! This is the first I’ve ever heard of a service animal calling for help! This is truly amazing and I’m seriously glad the operators were able to understand enough to help! New thing to teach the future incoming 911 operators!

Some years ago I drove into my townhouse complex late at night to find my neighbor's service dog, named Shadow, in the driveway. I stopped my car. Shadow came up to my window and whimpered. I then followed Shadow to the front door of my neighbor's home and found her on the floor a few feet inside her home. Shadow had been trained to open the door and go for help.

Service animals are incredible, and they aren't just dogs. Certified...lol (all my fellow public safety folks will lol too) service animals are trained very well and often to the need of the recipient. I'm dog biased however since I have my baby old man (15 yrs old ), Ringo. Someone is going to have to peel me off of the floor one day.

Better train those dispatchers to send help faster. Buddy did his job. It shouldn’t take 4 calls to get help.
