Quick-thinking dad springs into action to save dog being chased by a bear in Florida

An active duty U.S. Army Special Forces family scared a bear that was chasing their miniature golden doodle in Florida.

This is funny and terrifying at the same time. Dad gave that bear one extra 'roar' at the end. He was like "...and don't come back."

This is important: Everyone is focusing on the actions of the father (which was perfect), but fail to realize that everyone did their job perfectly. First the dog, alerting the family by causing attention to the danger, always making sure the bear was focused on chasing it. 2. Mom making sure that dog now has an open escape and calling for ree-enforcement. 3. Older brother showing he has an IQ of 200, immediately grabbing little sister to safety without hesitation. I believe this act was very beautiful and so important, because as parents- having children not being complient in a crisis is a nightmare. 4. Big papa doing his thing. Team effort. Bravo!!

Incredible teamwork by the whole family. Dog alerted family to a bear and led bear away from family. Big bro pushed kid sister back inside and held door open for doggie who U-turned back. Mom who screamed for everyone to come out and help. Dad who chased bear away. Truly remarkable teamwork all done very spontaneously. Kudos!

You can really tell that the dog really cares for his or her family and that the dog's human family cares for him or her. Now that is one loving family!!!

This lady went into the darkness with a bear, for her dog. You can tell she thought about it for less than a second….but her dog mom instinct was stronger. I’m so happy the dog, the family and even the bear is ok. I’m glad everyone survived.

I love how in a matter of seconds the whole family took care of each other. The father guided the older child back.. the older child prevented the younger child from leaving the house.

That dog is lucky to be alive, I think the screaming of the lady distract the bear ...extreme emotions when you see your dog being chase by a bear and you can't do to much to save him.
