DJI Osmo Action vs AKASO V50 Elite - Is cheaper better?

The AKASO V50 Elite vs DJI Osmo Action, is it worth buying the cheaper action camera? Is the Akaso action camera as good as the Osmo Action? I took both cameras and put them head to head to see if the Akaso was worth purchasing, given the low price you can buy the Osmo Action for these days.

i have the dji osmo action and an old akaso ek7000, i did a comparison video between both and asked a lady which she preferred and she chose the akaso. i was surprised. then i asked her why, and she said because its brighter and "sharper". i did a video walk comparison and asked about stabilization, then she picked the osmo because it was more stable but ek7000 doesnt have stabilization at all, so it really wasnt fair walk comparison. anyone buying any akaso isnt missing much, unless they care for better stabilization. at the price the osmo action is going for now, i would just say people should rather buy the osmo action. i got mine from amazon usa, theres an adorama bundle for $199 that includes 32 gb memory card and accesories kit. thats a sweet deal.

You gave a few 120% to Akaso after saying that Osmo Action had a few things Akaso didn’t but you always found a reason to change that for Akaso’s sake. You even gave Akaso points after giving it 0% and then changing your mind with whatever other setting or thing you decided was good to replace whatever scored 0%. It’s an okay camera, at best. It doesn’t look good, but gotta be honest, that sound in the wind sounds much better! Also don’t forget, it’s normal that the touchscreen suffers a bit after getting wet, but that is gone quickly, and by far the best responsive screen in any other action camera, and in the footage, it shows the touchscreen on the Akaso was not as responsive as you were saying, well, at least it didn’t look like it.

But sure I’d say if people have less money, then this would be an okay option.

Ehh im not too thrilled my v50 Elite, im gonna grab the Action for sure. Its definitely not Native 4k. You can clearly tell its 1080 upscaled. And its obvious the Osmo is native 4k. Gotta have the native lense for it to even be worth it at all.

The v50 elite is for sale on eBay for $49 at the minute. There's no reason not to buy one.
