By now you’ve likely heard the news about Cadillac becoming GM’s primary electric vehicle brand. Well, we’ll save that for tomorrow! Today, Cadillac still has to maintain its traditional role as General Motors premier luxury brand. and, that means offering their base plenty of internal combustion engine utilities. Now Caddy has added one more, the new 3-row, XT6.

Nobody can ever replace John Davis on motorweek

Why anyone would buy this over a Lincoln Aviator is beyond me. This should have come out back in 2011. This is way too similar to the cheaper Chevrolet Traverse which it is based on. Too generic for the luxury crossover segment.

I just picked up my 2022 XT6 Premium Luxury last month and I couldn't be happier with it! Terrific looking and functional, great space and comfort, reasonably priced for it's segment, great tech and safety features, plenty of power and a smooth ride! It's my first domestic US car brand purchase in 20 years.

I just LOVE Cadillac's design language....this should have gotten a little more power tho.

This new naming system with newton meters of torque rounded to a multiple of 50 shows that Cadillac has its efforts in the wrong place. Make a better car, not a new badge.

You guys at MotorWeek should really be getting more views and credit for your style. A lot of other outlets will find one thing about a car to rip into and plaster that all over their review for extra clicks, or allow it to influence their judgement of everything else, but you guys always make sure to credit the positives of every car. It keeps the perspective that, though some vehicles are better value than others, new vehicles keep getting better.

So much unjust hate towards this car, most complaining about it being based on the traverse... almost every vehicle in production is based off a cheaper platform.. like the Escalade based off the Tahoe..

I owned the first CTS. This is NOT a Cadillac to me, and not why i bought a Caddy in the first place. It's a rebadged GMC Acadia with updated tech and a softer interior. I want American BOLD Luxury and Style and i just don't feel that Cadillac designers are moving in that direction.

The issue with this vehicle is that it's pricing is in line with the Aviator, which offers so much more for the price. I'd be hard pressed to buy this over an Aviator and not feel ripped off. GM dropped the ball here.

I love the look of it, the stance is great. I think it looks much better than the Lincoln. My opinion, I know, but it really has presence. I’ve owned Japanese suv’s the past 15 years and frankly am getting tired of them. I’ve owned Fords in the past and will never own one again. My father always got brand new BMW’s very few years, and they were in the shop quite a bit. I’ll never own a BMW. Think German cars are flawless? Ha! No way. I will definitely be looking into the 2021 XT6. Can’t wait to see what it offers. And I’ll spend my money how I like so save the insults to my opinions. I really think this car looks great. Home run.

Looks too much like a rebadged Chevy. The overall Silhouette looks awfully familiar.

Eh, it's OK. There is too much competition out there for it.

GM is dropping the ball big time with Cadillac. Cheap interior, and exterior looks bland.

I'd rather get the Hyundai Pallisade for the price.

It's a minivan with no sliding doors.

So many beautiful concepts from Cadillac over the years and the best they can manage to do on a production vehicle is crib the grille and slap it a a rebadged mommy mobile?

I like the imposing look of this but the powertrain needs to the CTS V-Sport's 420 hp and 430 lbft of torque to be competitive.

Looks great in that red color. My Mom’s Acadia with the 3.6 has had several issues in the last 3 years. I like this car but I would not purchase any vehicle with the 3.6L V6.
