Just traded my xt5 which I had for three years and not issue. Picked up a Xt6 sport trim a week ago and LOVE the truck. I’ve owned an Escalade and this more practical, moves too. Stopped to gas up and had two guys ask me what I was driving. Same when I went to the local pizzeria. Hot truck, especially if you need a kid hauler. Funny I was going to try to get a new corvette but after seeing the markup pricing I bought another Caddy. By the way, owned 5 Cadillacs (Srx, Escalade, Xt5, Wife’s Xt5 still under lease, now the XT6) and never had a mechanical issue.

Chris your reviews are AWESOME!! Can't stand him'n and haw'n from the others, who the heck cares about why Cadillac put the emblem on the side! You are straight to the point, on key, and very informative and thanks so much for doing a great job on your reviews!! Very helpful!

Nice detailed review. Thanks for clearly pointing out this SUV actually can be outfitted with a spare tire (too few reviewers take the time to mention it, let alone show it). This particular spec in your video is extremely attractive inside and out. One would say it’s almost like a large, fancy station wagon 😉

Just picked up the Premium Luxury model in Shadow Metallic. It looks great in the driveway and feels great on the road. In the 50k to 60k price range, it’s easily one of the top choices and I’m loving it so far

I am a wagon person. I used to have a R-class Mercedes, and I loved everything about it, but production was stopped in USA. As of right now I have an suv, I am very happy with it, but wagons are what gets my eye 😊

I am a current owner of a CTS Sport Wagon and am finding it harder to get in and out of being 6'6" and less flexible than I was when I bought it...am looking into a pre-owned XT6 and enjoyed your review

I own the 2020 xt6 but not the sport edition, I own the premium luxury edition and I love this crossover whip.

Personally I’ve only got 3 complaints about the XT-6 one of which is GM in general. My GM complaint is none of their vehicles have an optional Blu-Ray/DVD surround sound system. My 2011 SRX has the 5.1 surround sound system and it sounds exceptional! I can listen to all of my DVD-AUDIO 5.1 music discs but that option was dropped from Cadillac after the 2011-2012 model years unless you want to drop $80-$100K plus for an Escalade. I know everything is about wireless and streaming these days but true surround sound quality is unmatched when compared with regular stereo. Cadillac prides itself on luxury and performance but doesn’t provide any for of high quality audio. Apple Music has a bunch of albums and tracks mixed in Dolby Atmos that are mind blowing. I hate Michael Jackson but once I heard “Billy Jean” in Dolby Atmos on my home theater I’m totally hooked on that surround sound technology. It blows away plain stereo audio!

My next complaint is the interiors of the XT lineup. Every interior I’ve seen has this fake looking carbon fiber trim. It just looks fake. I’ve only seen one XT5 with amazing wood trim on the dash driver and passenger doors and gear shifter but nothing that nice on the XT6.

My final complaint is the engines power output. Again, Cadillacs are supposed to be the best of the best and for $70K PLUS I only get one engine option and that one engine only puts out 310HP. For that price there should be a couple engine options, especially for the sport edition, and at least a 350-375HP engine. When it comes to styling Cadillac did a good job with the XT6. It’s a handsome sturdy vehicle that handles well but It’s just not a “fun to drive” vehicle. For the price it should be everything worth mentioning and then some but that’s just my opinion.

Nice review. Considering this one when my lease on the XT5 expires which is soon

Not really sure the few extra features are better than the pali/telluride top trims, I'm liking your review energy and appreciate the work.

Hey Chris! Continuing with perusing the catalogue of AutoAcademics videos...how tall are you? The headroom in that XT6 seems really voluminous!

Thanks for your review. Would love to see this head to head with the aviator.

1:07 you neglected to mention full LED turn signals front& rear. This IS a big deal, since Chevy refuses to put LED brake or turn signal lights on their all-new 2019-2021 Blazers. Doesn't matter, they price into mid $50, 000s, you still get old fashioned incandescent bulbs!

Nicely done... For 70K, you think they would at least put a seat/thigh extender???

Thanks for the review. I’m a suv/ crossover dude. The aviator still leads this class in my opinion...

Great Review. I agree. This should have been RWD based. Also, where is the twin turbo V6 from the now defunct XTS...IMHO
