Kate Middleton is turning 40 on Jan. 9 and Access Hollywood is taking a look at how her "quiet confidence" has impacted the royal work she does. The Duchess of Cambridge became a working member of the Royal Family soon after she married Prince William in April 2011. She quietly got patronages from the Queen that would set up her work in the years to come. Kate is reportedly more shy and more cautious than other royals, but she has a talent for always making people feel seen and understood.

I've only followed her for a year and found out that she is extremely multitalented. She got an A in A level maths and has an art history degree, she plays hockey, tennis, she sails, abseils, mountain climbs, rides bikes, held a tarantula. She's an artist, a pianist, a flautist, chorister, she can cook. She's all so talented, yet she's so humble about it and prioritizes her wonderful children.
