These are things I have never known about Kate, which have really raised my respect for her. I, as many others, immensely admired Princess Diana. Between her humanitarian work with AIDS patients to her protests to landmines, she definitely deserved the “People’s Princess” title. What was presented today showed Kate emulating and honoring Diana in so many ways, but is obviously not a carbon copy. Catherine is a genuine, empathetic and beautiful person. I have much respect for her. She's grown into her role within the Royal family but has done so without changing who she is as a person. Her parents raised her to be a genuine and caring girl and that shines through even now. She able to combine her own thoughts and style and still remain respectful to the expectations of being a member of the Royal family. It takes a strong and confident person to be able to do as she has done, something I'm afraid Diana could not accomplish. I think Diana would adore Catherine and see in her the person she herself would have wished to be.
