Some people getting real mad about the conclusion lol. Is the TUF better in every way? No, definitely not. Do they basically perform the same in games with the TUF being less money, yeah, which I'd argue is what most people care about. If you want to pay extra for some of the extras that the Legion offers then by all means go ahead.

I think Legion’s extras in thermals, display quality, keyboard, ports, faster ssd, dual channel ram, and aesthetics are worth the extra $100 or $200. If you don’t really care about all that then the A15 is already a solid option.

Ah yes, yet another episode of I can't afford

Never would I have imagined that the TUF could be competitive with the Legion

Sorry - what? You showed me 14 minutes of the Legion trashing the A15 in multiple key areas, then said "in more cases than not, the TUFF A15 was the better laptop".

You need to watch your own video...

After researching the whole day I narrowed it down to these two laptops. And after watching this video I ironically like the Legion 5 much better! Like damn the screen is just so beautiful!

Good review as always. Legion still has my vote mainly due to the port locations. Still very happy with my Legion 5 2021.

I'm typing this from my Lenovo Legion and to be honest... couldn't be happier with it. Lenovo sales let me bought it really cheap, even cheaper than the TUF. If you don't mind paying a little bit more in most scenarios... I would go with the Lenovo due to the overall build quality. Of course it always depends on the sales in your area, TUF has become much better this year, so don't be afraid to go for it if the price is good. Btw, great video as usual, Jarrod.

Hey Jarrod! Can you make a tier list of the laptops you reviewed after the latest tier list so it would make your work easier and it can be a guide for us before the black friday?

Thanks for very informative comparison. I thought legion 5 was better one, but it seems tuf improved in the last couple of years

I'll actually be getting the Legion 7 all AMD Advantage version with the 6850XT GPU and 6900HX which no one seems to be covering. Its incredibly well build with 16:10 screen. It'll be a great portable desktop replacement.

I paid $1220 here in Dubai for a new ASUS TUF with 12650H and a 3070TI, quite happy I found it in the Black Friday sales, seems to be beating both of these options which are slightly cheaper.

Yeah I bought the Tuf two years ago.
Its a piece of junk that started crapping out 1.5 years in, the repair shop said 'yeah we get a lot of these, you have a warranty?' No it expired around the time it started to die.
Cheap plastic, made to look 'Tuf'

I'd get the TUF just for the weight alone. I can notice just how heavy things get in the long run. So as much as I like the design of the Legion, I'd get the TUF for an overall portability and performance.

I bought a Lenovo Legion 5 Pro with 12700H, 3070, DDR5 with 165hz with G-sync.

I feel I took the right one, was unsure when I had A17 with 3070Ti as an option but came down to the advantages of Lenovo.

Suppose I open it tomorrow and enjoy it :D

This is AMAZING!! These are literally the 2 laptops I have been considering getting!
In my area the TUF A15 is $250 cheaper, and with a baby on the way I could put the extra cash to good use.

ASUS TUF A15, I choose you!! 🥳

I picked up the Asus tuf a15 Ryzen 7 6800 RTX 3070 for 1299 cad a couple months back and I couldn’t be happier with the performance. Asus really stepped up their game for the 2022/2023 models. For a budget machine it exceeds almost all of my needs gaming wise. Great reviews as always

Can't believe the thumbnail bait. skipping thru the video the only + to Tuf was better battery and better pricing. Yet you would suggest people to buy a 1080p laptop in 2022/2023? Kinda drastic to title the thumbnail 'buy this, not this'. Love the video content, just not the thumbnail bait.

It’s fair to suggest the one that offers best bang for the buck but with laptops you stick with the decisions that the brand has made which rarely can be mended by the end user. In that case I’d still choose Lenovo over Asus because it’s a better machine as a whole in daily use even if it’d cost a hundred bucks or equivalent more.
