I have a blue point ragdoll. He is 20 years old! Has been indoors his whole life. He read the book on being a Ragdoll--does it perfectly. My buddy, I will miss him so much when he goes, I am a 70 year old man and I will cry my heart out when he goes. Dreading the day. He now suffers from FARS--look it up. I give him meds that keep it under control. Common with very old Ragdolls as they have Burmese blood. His name is Felix and I love him so much. I have no wife or children so he is very important to me. When he goes I will be all alone.

On October 3rd my husband and I were taking our evening walk and found what we thought was a white kitten out on the street. We asked our neighbors if anyone had lost her but nobody claimed her. It was getting cold so we brought her home and set her up in my husband’s workshop with food, water and a makeshift sandbox. We already had 4 cats and this little one was infested with fleas. Fast forward 2 months and she’s been spayed, dewormed and doesn’t have any fleas. She looks a lot like a fawn ragdoll with the medium length hair and blue eyes, cream ears and tail. When I took her to the vet, I was told she was closer to one year old but she’s very small and has unfortunately lost all her front teeth as well as a couple of molars. Needless to say, she’s flourished under our care, with plenty of food, a warm place to sleep and no more parasites to bug her and make her uncomfortable. My other furbabies are not very keen on her but the youngest (18 months) sometimes plays with her. Now that she’s safely indoors, she’s become very playful and is a great cuddler. We named her Luna because of the full moon that was out that night which allowed us to see her but we call her Fluffle because of how fluffy she looks.

I love the Ragdoll's personality. Docile, gentle, sociable... sounds perfect. These cats are so precious and sound like great companions.

I'm allergic to cats and developed asthma from our neigbor's cat that often visited us. However, I decided that living my life without cats isn't worth it and got a flame mitted ragdoll a year ago. I have become almost entirely tolerant to his allergens despite having had severe reactions when he first came to us. We're now getting a bicolor tortie girl to accompany him.

When I get my own house, I'm going to get a mixed Ragdoll. (Since purebreds are pretty expensive) Rn, my cat is a tabby/Ragdoll mix and acts EXACTLY like a Ragdoll! But her fur and size is basically a tabby!

You have produced a really great video! I enjoyed it very much. My blue bi-color is aging now. I dread the day she makes her way to kitty heaven, and hope I will find another sweet raggy similar to her. Very unusual breed, indeed! Mine was a free adoption as a kitten so it may be a long while before I can afford the price of another purebred. As I have many barn cats, I will not be totally alone, but these ragdolls are like soulmates. And stay close by at all times.

My ragdoll loves outside. She spent years unsupervised outside but I don’t think there were many other cats in the area.. later in another place she was injured by one. Now we are in an apartment and she demands I take her out to the beach every day but now it’s always supervised :)

My friends ragdolls have always been indoor only and that works for them. But now that she knows and loves outside so much, I’ll never be able to keep her in. It’s cute walking her on the beach though so I don’t mind :)
