I don't know if you will ever see this question because I just found your channel and video. But should we keep coding in jre1.8, or do you think enough support will be there for jdk14 by now

If you're staring a new green field project, that implements IOT, ML, and a web stack, and you have full control of what to use, what's the combination of technologies that you'd go for ?

1)- I was going for Python, Tensorflow, Django as the Backend Framework and Vue for the Frontend.

2)- But I found out about ML.NET, and I already have experience in .NET and C#

what should I do? 1 or 2 ?

Hello Stefan,
I have a bit of a concern probably because I'm too old school here. And I would like you to talk about this topic:
Github VS svn.
So I'm currently watching a course on github/heroku/travis and I'm still personnally using SVN.
What is bothering me here: I'm very reluctant to put my source code online (Github) and I guess that it's the same for big companies obviously to prevent any industry spying...
So how come Github could have pushed over svn like that considering this "fear"? As I said I'm probably too old fashion but in the meantime I'm concerned about "spying" 🙄

Hey, there! I started programming about two years ago, and I have a little experience with C++. It was the first language I tried. But I never liked C++ back then, so I thought it might change after I can grasp the core concepts like Classes and objects, functions etc. from another language. I tried C++ again a few days back but nothing changed, I still have trouble doing things properly in C++. I know Rust, and I absolutely love it. By the time I need a job, I expect there will be enough jobs in my place for Rust (About 7-10 currently). I think Microsoft changed some components of Windows from C++ to Rust. Firefox Quantum's engine is probably written in Rust. Do you think I should learn C++?

Java is not going to become the new COBOL. I just don't see it, Stef. Java is constantly evolving and adding modern features while COBOL is somewhat updated once a decade and the new versions are poorly supported anyway.
