The Acura Integra Type S HRC Prototype has been revealed. The car features an array of HRC (Honda Racing Corporation) components to unleash a bold street and track-focused performance oriented Integra Type S. Maximizing power, handling, and overall performance. This is the ultimate factory produced street and track Integra! Below is what we know so far:

It will drop 200lbs by replacing parts with Carbon Fiber components such as the hood, rear door panels, and race bolstered one-piece Recaro bucket seats. The rear seats are gone, and in place is a carbon fiber shelf. For the full 200lbs weigh reduction, you’ll need to opt for the optional air conditioning delete.

Engine output has been improved. We don’t know how much yet, but we do know it’s been done by using a larger improved front mount intercooler, twin oil coolers, a new lightweight cat-back exhaust system, and more. These components were developed for the Acura Integra Type S HRC TCX race car.

The Integra Type S HRC sits 15mm lower and further optimizes handling by incorporating a track-ready coilover suspension system, adjustable rear anti-roll bar and adjustable front and rear camber plates. New lightweight forged 19x9.5in wheels with an increased negative offset widen both the front and rear track by 30mm. All this not only improves handling, but offers a more aggressive stance. Grip is maximized via a set of sticky Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires (265/30ZR19, 60 Treadwear rating)

The front brakes have been upgraded with massive 15-inch two-piece rotors (1.4 inches larger than the standard Integra) and Brembo 6-piston aluminum calipers. The rear sees a reduction in unsprung weight by utilizing two-piece rotors. Larger front fascia air ducts improve brake cooling performance by routing more air to the front rotors.

The rear is reinforced with a robust X-Brace to stiffen up the chassis; this also provides a multipoint harness attachment location. The interior also features some upgraded Alcantara and color-matched yellow seatbelts, stitching and trim.

Acura took aerodynamic development components from their Integra Type S TCX racecar and implemented it into the HRC Prototype to optimize aerodynamics and increase downforce. Thus increasing stability at high speeds. These functional pieces include a new front fascia with a larger front splitter, cooling ducts, hood vents, side splitters, and a large adjustable carbon fiber rear wing with aluminum upright pedestals.

The yellow you’re seeing is called Indy Yellow Pearl and is inspired from its debut on the second generation NSX supercar. HRC badges are custom milled from aluminum and placed on the grille, front fenders, and deckled. These badges are the same that are seen on Honda and Acura winning race cars in IndyCar, IMSA and Formula 1.

Until it has SHAWD its just a type R in a tux. This isnt a little 2 door hatch like in 1998. 4door performance cars should have 4WD and 6 cylinders. Nice looking car.

The reason we bought the old 2000’s Type-R’s was because they had a lot of JDM parts that weren’t common like big spoiler, tail lights and wheels different seats ect .. Also cause you’d get a fun sporty sounding manual that drove better, more reliable, and faster 0-60 in most cases than the mustangs and Camaros of the time.

THE MAIN REASON Was we’d get ALL OF THIS For WAY LESS $$$$ Like $20, 000 for a Civic Si vs $40, 000 for other sports cars

Now they’re making factory 4Cylinder turbo CIVICS Stuffing them with Tech & fake carbon fiber and Leather and putting on a ton of plastic fantastic body panels so they can ask $50, 000 $60, 000 dollars and wonder why they’re not selling like the ones from 15 20 years ago.. 🤔🤷‍♂️
