My last order, and I mean it will be my LAST order, with CBCS sat after grading for FIVE. MONTHS. before they would finish encapsulation and shipping. That is after waiting 9 months to get to the finish of grading them.

I have sent books to both CGC and CBCS. Here is what I have noticed. CGC unlike CBCS listens to their criticism and tries to improve. CBCS has gotten worse over the last few years. Their customer service has gone from spotty to non-existent. I find it funny that they lose so much money over their unwillingness to change the label to reflect what most customer want, focus on the grade. They want to focus only on the comic and feel that changing it would take a way from the comic itself. I get that, but with all due respect its not about what you want, its about what the paying customer wants. I am fine with the grading and presentation myself. What I am not okay with is the terrible turn around times and the hoops you have to jump through to get basic customer service. Customer Service with CBCS has always been an issue but it got really bad when it went over seas. Now they are still over seas, but you have to leave a voice mail to get emailed back. I'm sorry, but if I am sending you a $1000 book and you are dodging my calls, this makes me very nervous. I am like Paper Chase, I will only be sending them signature verification. CGC has its problems, no doubt, acknowledges it and is always actively trying to improve. Seriously hard would it be to hire 3 people to do customer service. CBCS continues to show the wrong way to do business. I was excited about having them and CGC both as companies to submit to. But man, CBCS has a long way to go to right the ship. Bottom line, how can I trust you with something so important to me if I can see you aren't even taking care of yourself. CGC keep up the positive trends. CBCS....DO BETTER.

Same here. Will only use for signatures 100%. Still have books there from July 2021

Congrats on those grades. An excellent submission! One year is a long time to wait. Possibly due to the mixed order? Verification and blue label? IDK. enjoy!

I wholeheartedly agree- There was a time where I submitted to them because the $40 5 day express was so worth it- Now CGC has upped their TAT and other than the superior uglier slab & sig verification, there no reason to send books in- And they're 30 mins from my house- New Sub, looking forward to future content.

I was a big proponent of cbcs but their turn around is bonkers. Sticking to cgc for now. New subscriber!

I am still fighting with them now, I have a group of 20 books with some artists that have passed away. They were sent in from 2019. Have to get a lawyer because they will not respond to me. The books are worth around 1000 not counting the 600 I spent for grading.

Yeah thats a real bummer. I sent my batch off in March and CBCS had a booth at the Toronto Fan Expo and i asked them about they're wait times and they told me 11 months. Really sucks. Great books though mate. Cheers.

I did a test sending to both CGC and CBCS a total of 5 submissions with 5 books each in September of last year to see who was the better. Got my 5 orders back from CGC in about 4 months. Got 1 out of 5 submissions back about 3 weeks ago from CBCS.
I love the CBCS cases and how sturdy they are, plus the fact they use crystal clear fitted bags too rather than those hazy ones CGC sends you, but come on...a whole entire year and counting?! I've gotten signature series events back in about a month or so after the event with 9.8s from CGC.
Needless to say, CBCS sucks when it comes to returns on submissions.

I’m in the same boat. Waited 1 whole year for a Spider-Man 1 silver signed by McFarlane with the red spider stamp on backfrom his store. Came back 9.8 white pages with the signature verified. The case looks sharp and the book presents fantastic. The 1 year wait is very long, too long.

I really want to use the signature verified service but very wary after everything I’ve heard plus them losing so many books

I’ve been using CBCS for a few years now. My experience has been via my LCS as they’ve submitted direct at cons.

My LCS tells me that while their turnaround time is huge, apparently CGC is trading accuracy for time.

Time for me is no issue since I’m purely a collector, but if someone is trying to flip books quickly, I can see why the turnaround factor would be more important.
