I’m 51 and the 90’s was the grunge era so these dark browns and vampy colours were so popular with my age group! Good times!

Major takeaway from this history facts: kitchen is THE place to make makeup so I'm killing it now in my quest to create makeup product 😂

I'll be 40 this year and remember using my moms Max Factor makeup to learn as a teenager. Anyone here remember Jane makeup? As a 90s teen with babysitting money to burn, this was my fave brand of the time. Revlon Rum Raisin was my lipstick color all 4 years of high school!

Wow. You don’t go far enough back for me! I was wearing makeup in high school in 1972! Cover girl foundation, roller ball lip glosses, Maybelline ultra lash, probably some cheap cover gurl lipstick…. Yes I loved the Noxema scent in the foundations! Makeup has come such a LONG way since then!!

I'm 51 now, was 18 in October 1990, and I remember wearing my CG clean foundation 2 shades lighter than my skin tone; having a super pale face was really on trend. Then the thin brow, like the 30s, and Rum Raisin lipstick. I didn't wear much eyeshadow, just black eyeliner. And I sometimes used dark brown eyeliner as a lip liner with a lighter lipstick, .blended together. It doesn't seem like it was over 30 yrs ago! Seems like 2 yrs ago...😮😢 I miss those times...it was one of the best times of my life!! Now off to repurchase Rum Raisin lipstick ❤🥂💃🏼🎉

One of my favorite makeup brands in the 90's was Jane. Still have one of their gray eyeliners. Loved their red brown lipstick. Glad Clinique Black Honey is still around. I wore Loreal Lashout mascara religiously, broke my heart when they stopped production. Bought it off of Ebay as long as it I could find it.

Talking about vintage makeup, I'm 61 and remember the 1970's makeup so well...I grew up in Perth Western Australia (yep) all jokes aside.... I remember so many trends...Yardley pot o gloss in the shades walnut and burgundy were amazing colors but so thick, everything stuck to my lips 😂

I can’t think of the 90’s without mentioning Kevyn Aucoin and his The Naked Collection from Ultima II!

Benefit's cheek tint being introduced to color nipples blows my mind!
Speaking of Max Factor, his Pan Stik foundation remains without compare. Stick foundation would be expected to be heavy. Pan Stick was lightweight, full coverage and long wearing. I loved it!

I just turned 40 this year and the 90’s were my first steps into makeup and for lips it was - a darker lip liner with a lighter lipstick to fill them in and you could not be caught without some type of roller ball lip gloss 😊

I loved Max Factor! I started wearing makeup on the 90's and the pancake foundation from him was my go to! Bamboo bronze from Revlon lipstick. Anyone remember the Revlon Outrageous shampoo in the red bottle? With Cindy Crawford as the model in the commercial... That stuff smelled HEAVENLY. I wish that stuff was still around.

In the late 60's I remember a Covergirl foundation with Noxema. I would use it on my occasional breakout and it cleared it up in 24 hrs. I always loved the Noxema fragrance.

I'm an older subscriber. I remember using Max Factor Erace concealer in a tube on the lips in the 1960s when I was in high school. It was part of the British Mod look with Twiggy lashes and light lips. Also remember Max Factor Pan-Stik cream foundation. Love the history behind products.

I love that Chanel nail polish, it matched the Black honey lipstick! 😍😍
I still feel like the 90s was 4yrs ago. 😞🤔😅

Omg you didn’t mention Revlon’s Toast of New York! That color was a true 90’s staple! Lol!

Thank you for including the history for all the products and brands. I'm 46 so I remember makeup from the 90s so well. My favorite mascara back then was the L'Oreal Voluminous Carbon Black. That was my jam!

Have been using Coty airspun powder since I was a teenager and I'm about to turn 59. Love it as much today as a more mature lady as I did when I was 16 years old.

Loved the Max Factor products. I still have an unopened cream puff pressed powder in my makeup museum. The shade was called "Gay Whisper" (warm medium). It was a great formula and shade to use on many caucasian men for television back in the day. Thanks for the memories ❤

This was such a great trip down memory lane. RUM RAISIN, I wore it a lot! ❤ However, the most interesting fact that you shared was about the Yves St. Laurent, “clicker pen.” Only a mom could think of something so wonderful.😊

Lol, my dad also HATED brown lipstick in the 90s and for a couple years he refused to let me wear it. I had to wear my friends' lipstick at school. I loved the taupe cool toned brown (almost a silvery purple sheen) from Wet n Wild. I wish their stuff was still $1.
