ICONIC REVLON LIPSTICKS OF THE 90s!🫦🔥 Which one are you owning?!

🫦Trying the ICONIC Revlon 90s lipsticks was so fun, these lipsticks dominated the makeup scene and still look 🔥 today🫦 Victoria Lyn made a video on this a while ago and I've been meaning to see if I had them in my collection to try so here we go!

Revlon Coffee Bean Super Lustrous Pearl Lipstick 
Revlon Super Lustrous Creme Lipstick, Toast of New York (looks so red on me but is often described as a copper/brown?!)
Revlon Super Lustrous Creme Lipstick, Rum Raisin 
Went with Revlon Black Cherry but in the ColorStay Satin Ink formula for more of a glossy, gothic vibe!

Revlon feels high end because it was designed to be. It was a department store, mid-range luxury-like brand for most of it lifetime, and didn't become a drugstore brand until the late 70s to mid 80s, when the company had a hostile take over in 1986. Since then, it has become cheaper and more accessible, but has tried to keep some of the prestige the brand once held.

I was in high school in the 90's and was grunge/punk. There was a Revlon lipstick that was matte called Plum Velour and it was the most beautiful deep plum colour. I loved that lipstick!

The thing about these were that they are so pigmented you could use them as a stain by letting them sit and them blending with a cotton swab and also use them as a cheek stain with your fingers. With concealer, some powder, and a swipe of a neutral copper/brown eye shadow and mascara, it was a fast “half makeup” look.
