Great idea... I've just been through the ringer trying to get the smell out of the fridge. I finally realized that it is coming from the tray over the compressor which acts as an auto defrost, as any liquid goes down the drain at the back and is evaporated on the tray. Omg... I had a tub of prawns defrost but the tub was broken... all the water leaked out and went out onto the compressor, where it continued to rot. OMG if you ever have a REALLY stinky fridge and it is auto defrost LOOK at the tray over the compressor!
