The fact that you have to say it and people can’t figure it out.

You’d think that was common sense but common sense is not common.

bc its shaved the hair is cut in a straight line so it appears "thicker" even tho it ain't, the only difference is that the end of the hair is now in a straight line instead of a thinner one

How does the hair know it's been cut, and how does it know to stop growing at a certain point?

Hi, I have a question: is using tretinoin harmful for hyperpigmentation from acne. I have atopic dermatitis since born and my dermatologist says I'm not a severe case, but always having extremely dry skin which often falls off when I wear foundation. I wondered if tretinoin helps improving the situation I have right now...

Does shaving still cause irritation on the skin barrier?

So why when you wax the hair grows back after 4-6 weeks, but when you shave it grows back in a few days?!😮

Finding my at home IPL (Braun brand off of Amazon) to be a life saver for chin hair. It also has saved me many razors from not having to shave my legs/underarms as often. It works best when you have lighter skin and dark hair so I took advantage of doing it over winter when I knew I wouldn’t have a tan.

Is it true that once your eyebrows are plucked and waxed, that the hair doesn't ever grow back the same/becomes thinner?

What about how often u shave? I could swear my hair grew back thicker and faster the more often I shaved, but letting it grow out for a bit like a week or so (on areas I could hide) before shaving seemed to keep those areas smoother longer. 🤷‍♀️

Here we go🙄 The same type of people who say “everybody’s skin and hair is different”. I used to shave my face hair once in a month now it’s once in every 5 DAYS. This is no myth. I have seen it with my own eyes. Skincare community is so good at gaslighting. They never consider geographical location, wealth, genetics, ethnicity.
PS: I am of South Asian descent. SA ladies here thread their hair at least once in 2 weeks. The hair DOES go back faster and ‘looks’ thick. So easy to say this when you facial hair is blonde. What about people with thick black hair? It looks obvious and now you are stuck in a cycle where you dont have an option to not shave🤡

Does it grow faster than when you don’t shave at all though? Because that’s what I was told like once you shave you have to keep shaving because it’ll be worse. Or maybe it’s that the hairs will be thicker or something.

That’s true. However, in some areas it grows darker and like it got electrocuted. This may not be the case for everyone but it has been for me as well as a girl I used to babysit, I could tell she had been secretly been shaving her arms because of the way the hair grew.

Perhaps it’s all an illusion that is difficult to see as just that and I’m just extra aware of it being a threader and all.
