It occurs to me that Zeus is a necromancer in this show. He's a human who mastered a magic that allowed him to eat souls for even more magical power. He's different from how we usually think of necromancers, but he is much closer to being a necromancer than a god.

The way Dionysus was looking at Zeus talking slowly while gripping the knife so hard his hand is shaking is very convincing. It's the same kind of look I've see when pedestrians see a dangerous and manic person in a street. . . A look that conveys concern, fear, and the urge to just flinch and cry.
