🎾 Backhand Slice vs Dropshot 🎾
👉 For an aggressive slice, focus on cutting down and through the contact zone
👉 Transfer your body weight into the shot whenever possible and start high and finish low for maximum cut
👉 Dropshot: focus on cutting under and absorbing the ball
👉 Soft hands and a relaxed arm are key

The funny part is that how often I missed time the slice and it just became drop shots 😅
And it somehow worked because the best disguise is when you even fooled yourself 😂
My opponents never seem to understand I did not do it on purpose…

Putting the little tips in the video along with showing the form is great. I’ve been struggling to hit a hard and low backhand slice. Most of the time I just end up sending it up into the air. Great video as always Simon👍

All good tips but one thing I would add to the backhand slice is making sure you get your strings to your ear every single time. In this case, strings to his left ear.

Quite similar. The different is merely a big shot vs a small shot

I’ve never had a lesson on a slice and I need one! 🙌🏻

This is a bit tangential but could you please share which ball machine you’re using. I am considering getting one but wanted some professional opinions so to speak. Thanks for your content either way!

How much does your racket weight? (Preferably in gram.) Also balance and stiffness if you know. I'm using blade 16x9 305g and it feels a bit light..

Soft hands and a relaxed arm ARE key … since I was 13 years old.

All coaches love to say 'knife the ball', but I still have no clue what it means to 'knife' something.
