I have a Drake Buccaneer with 6month insurance. Should I melt my package, buy the Cutter with LTI and then upgrade it to the Buccaneer to get the LTI? :)

If you already have LTI and want to upgrade to a more expensive ship with only 6 months insurance, will you lose the LTI when upgrading?

This so dumb, why is this so complicated or needed? It sounds like a cash grab to make players use real money. seriously, most games you crash or die and you respawn, no need for insurance. What am I missing?
