I never even heard of a differential or knew what it did until I got an Arrma.

Can't argue with your logic. I own both and quite frankly there are weak points and strong points on both. Thanks for the great post.

This is exactly what I needed to know, comparing diffs between brands is super interesting

Repairing these are the best thing about this hobby but can get a bit expensive if it's all the time

Nice comparison. I don’t mind making the repairs but don’t have enough time. What’s frustrating to me is when I DO have a little spare time, and I get one of my RC’s out and it breaks after driving for just a few min.

I just emailed this video to arrma 😆🤞👍

I have both Arrma and Traxxas RCs, you are so right about the difference. I like them both, but at the end of the day Traxxas is still going and always so fun to drive because of the durability.

Totally agree with ya brother. If traxxas ever does a revision of the erevo I’ll buy one but for big air 40ft and above I’ll stick with a full beefcaked up K6 all day. Stock out the box for bashing Arrma has to be the best also the Kratons aftermarket support is similar to camaro and mustang damn near unlimited possibilities. That erevo diff does look awesome tho 💯👍👊

Great information and video. Neat to see the differences between the 2 in a non biased comparison simply the parts and construction of them. Like any car, each have their weak points and strong points. Keep them coming bud!

I'm a Tekno fanboy (and race sponsored by tekno) but my main basher is an Xmaxx. My Arrma kraton EXB is legit but it still breaks more often than anything else I own, even my 2s traxxas rally st holds up better than the EXB.
The tekno is an absolute beast though, I've never broken anything on in besides the CVD pins that wear out every now and then

I have an erevo 2.0vrx and a kraton and love them both, the problem with traxxas is the plastic centre drive shafts, rocks get up in there and tear the shaft to pieces. I think the problem with arrma diffs is they need to be shimmed properly or they will break but I've never broken a diff in either and I'm running max 6 1650 combo that absolutely ripps over the erevo

I enjoy repairing my RC's as much as running them. Except for the $$.

I broke my vorteks rear diff on the first run on 3s. I never broke anything on my Maxx 4s and owned it twice as long. True story

Always glad to see a new post from your channel.
Was interesting to see the E Revo 2.0 diff setup!, I've had my 2.0 for almost 3 years..I've never needed to open my diff.
Thanks for that video!! awaiting the next one 👍

I had an Outcast. Like you, every jump something broke. And I always landed on grass. Hardly ever made it through a battery pack. I bought the E Revo 2.0 when it came out and I love it. I just upgraded the push rods, toe rods and tie rods. And I take the revo to the skate park, landing on concrete and it just takes it. I'm not a "fan boy" but I've had way better luck with Traxxas.

I never had an issue with my E-Revo 2.0 Diffs. I haven't ran my Kraton EXB 6S enough to break the diffs as of yet. It's the only ARMA that I own. Nice video.

you hit the nail on the head, the arrma 3s blx stuff is tough stuff, ive beat my senton and big rock to death harder than my hoss could ever take. But if anyone argues that anything arrma has comes close to the revo, maxx, or xmaxx they are crazy

I agree 100%, Arrma seriously needs to step up their game when it comes to how they engineer their vehicles. Not just the diffs on the cars, but every aspect of the car. I enjoy driving my 6S Kraton and Notorious, but the diffs on them are most definitely a weak point. Arrma needs to redesign those diffs. I'll give them props for the transmission they designed for the Kraton 8S. That is a design perhaps they can use on their 6S line up?

Arrmas are easier to work on and parts readly available.

I think you nailed the biggest issue with Arrma. I have had to replace motor mounts, spur gears, input gears and differentials in my Arrma 3s vehicles(I have 3). I have replaced one differential gear set in the Slash 4x4 and nothing in the Rustler 4x4. The driveshafts are their weak point, but so much easier to fix than an Arrma spur gear or differential.
