I think you're okay if you preface it with an "I believe that..." or "I think that..." God does speak to us, and we are supposed to listen to Him.

If you have a relationship with God and can discern his word yes you will know when he speaks within you, it's not easy to explain because it's unique within but his voice is very distinctive and clear sir, yes you will know.

Amen! Thank you, Pastor Parr 4 this message! Far too many Christians have been doing just that. And, it sounds biblical and pious but, we as Christians need 2 apply wisdom and discernment when receiving messages from other Christians claiming 2 have heard from God and not providing concrete proof.

I RARELY If ever tell someone God told me... especially when it's about them.. I say this is what I've felt in my heart.. I "think" Maybe the Lord impressed on me.. the only time I tell some one I believe the Lord spoke is when I believe he spoke to me. It's a scary thing to say "God said" when He may not have.

Good one. Now that I am a leader I often get people trying to speak prophetically into my life. Usually starts with Can I pray for you? No you can’t lol. Only my pastors my wife my close friends can pray for me. Especially if I ask for prayer.

Now I’m not one who goes around telling people “God told me to tell you…”. But God does speak to us and I know His voice. So it trips me out to come across believers who don’t think God is still speaking to His Saints. That says a lot about you if you’re not hearing His voice. 😳

if He is the Good Shepherd and His Sheep know His voice....where I get my next job is not in the Bible ...He will guide me by His Spirit and place something on my mind....and as I'm reading His Word and spending time in prayer....He will give me His peace and guide me into my next place and I do believe in the gifts of the Spirit....if God can speak to me about me ....He can speak to me about someone else....and when someone says something says they have Word from the Lord for me....I'll listen bc I'm in relationship with Him....I'll almost know right away if that is of the Lord or not ...but still I will go to the Lord in prayer and read His Word....and God will confirm that is Him or show me it wasn't. But yes....God speaks today....He guides us by His Spirit....if He doesn't speak to me....then how would I know His voice????

Wow this is so on point. The Lord gave me a word for my uncle and cousin. I have to be careful on giving any advice or interpretation and just relay the message. Thanks 🙏🏾

This message is right on point! I for one try to be extra careful. I'd rather say "I feel this instead of God told me." I have a sister in Christ that is all about what Prophets say or tell her. I know God has placed Prophets, but to me, I don't go to any extreme!

One of the reasons why the Word of God (The Bible) is sufficient for us when it comes to all matters of faith, rule and practice.

1 Corinthians 4:6 - "...learn by us not to go beyond what is written..."

2 Peter 1:3 - "His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us to His own glory and excellence."

There are so many people that are using "God told me..." and giving people false hope. I've had numerous people tell me that my future husband is about to come into my life and their false information has left me angry at God. People need to stop doing this even if they mean well. False hope is devastating.
