My favorite movie of all time. Something about it just speaks to me on a level that no other movie has.

Watched Swingers when it came out in 96' and though it was amazing. Watched it last night (September 12, 2018) and its still a masterpiece. They put "Vegas Baby" and "you're so money" on the map. They also spurred the ballroom dancing craze of the late 90's. Absolutely amazing. "I'll have the pancakes in the age of enlightenment".

Boy, This is a really damn impressive interview,
The Interviewer is asking great questions and Jon Favreau is answering them with real fire.

Can't believe it's been 23 years, but Swingers really captured the zeitgeist of 1990s independent filmmaking. The last true great era of movies.

He’s so right on with saying “people will forgive the low production of the performance and story is there”. That’s so right on . In rock music it’s especially true. People care about the song above all else . Many classic songs have substandard production

I hate to say it because this is a top 5 movie for me all time, has gotten me through some tough times and I love Favreau, but things have changed in a negative way. He says in this interview that if the characters are great and the plot is done right that people wouldn't care about how professional the film looks. I agree, but these days I feel like I'm in the minority. Now, in the year 2017, there are just so many dogshit movies out there that people love.

A true film classic. Nephew currently experiencing similar in same period of life. Hearing about it brought memory of ‘Big Bear’ pep talk scene in Swingers. As much as things have changed, some things will always remain the same.

I watched this movie recently. To me it showed how the 90s seemed a lot more fun than today, especially today! I wish I was an adult back then.

At the time I saw this movie it could've been about my crew; the banter, the brotherhood, the constant hunt....uncanny. Nothing will ever come close to it, nor those halcyon days.

I don’t think anyone could have imagined how he would blow up, I wonder if even he knew the heights he would achieve. Love this guy and love swingers

Great interview. I remember a college buddy telling me about the movie and that I had to go see it. We went to see it at one of the indie film theaters in Atlanta. When I asked him what it was about he just kind of said "our generation." The lounge scene was part of it, but the only other movie that came out that was hit that nerve with us was Singles. Reality Bites was another one.

what I like in his story, is that John F says in another interview, that his dad gave him screenplay writing software. Il like the fact that dad gets his son something thoughtful, and in support of what his son's endeavors are.
