What truly makes this scene the first time you see it is the relief when he walks out of frame at 1:42 that at least that embarrassment is over. Then, not only is it not over, but he comes racing back to the phone and proceeds to sink into abyss of cringe.

Even though I've only seen this movie one time this scene had such a profound impact on me that I think about it any time I've ever thought of calling/texting a girl more than once. Watching this scene again twenty five years later it's still just as horrifying and hilarious as I remembered!
