First day in hell let loose and this is one of the most difficult games ive played. I got two kills on my first three games… and it was two of my teammates with a random frag throw

move from cover to cover = Fire and manoeuvre, like it actually was back then (why i love this game). Part of your squad engages enemy and suppresses whilst another part of squad flanks. Bonus points, be an engineer or support at the start, you will be loved.

This is one of my all time favorite shooters so far. I've never had a PC so them bringing it to console is awesome and it plays really good on my PS5. The most realistic experience I've had was Battlefield so this game was definitely a step up and I love it.

In short, if players were to treat this game as if it's real life war fighting, they may survive longer in the field.

This is the only game where I go 18-24 and become very happy.

Bounding, suppression, minimizing your silhouette and avoiding/skirting fields are so important. Every time I’m squad lead I preach these to my squad.
Also “slow is smooth, smooth is fast”
Good video and tips 🤙

Some tips that has made my average go more positive: remember that your sight (camera) is around the neck/chest area so your head sticks up further than you think. Plant your feet for most of your shoots, otherwise you should disengage or suppress till you can get to cover. Terrain positioning is important cause a little divot in the ground can conceal more of your movement, even if it is away from physical cover. Finally, it takes time to gain real situational awareness in the HLL environment, so be patient and communicate as much as possible.

- Use crouch running less in open areas. I learned that in RO2. Unless your sprint speed is the same as your crouch running speed or if you have concealment when moving from cover to cover, moving slowly in an open or at least a wide sight line can fuck you up.

- Take the long route when trying to flank or even trying to push an enemy. Being a combat engi main in SQUAD, its surprisingly effective when you waste 5 extra minutes not engaging with the enemy HAB to find and disable their radio and causing the enemy team to pull back at the last second when taking a point, compared to having several tickets and time wasted trying to push the HAB head on with the entirety of the friendly team.

- Take your time. Seriously, the game isnt tarkov, relax a little, most of the mistakes many players, including myself, make is about rushing in without planning or surveying the area ahead. This can cause a push or defence to fail very hard. And i mean VERY hard.

Most important advice! - Dont charge enemy positions from the front, go around and flank and also communicate with squadmates

I'm a new player and I'm already learning how to move, it's basically how you move in Battlefield BUT you have to be x10 more careful in Hell Let Loose. Stick to shadowed hedgerows to cross fields, lots of maps have amazing concealment that I see not many players taking advantage of sometimes. Coordinated suppression/advances with your squad/team (a very commonly used tactic in real life for WW2 battles) This is one of the most immersive, edge of your seat shooters I've ever played, and the proximity chat USE IT PEOPLE. It's also hilarious but please, communicate with your team.

One of the things i have most trouble with is knowing when i am being shot at and from where. I can never tell where the shots are coming from.
Also, thanks for the tips on movement!

A good thing to remember is; if you're taking fire, you've already lost the engagement, try and reposition to where they don't already know you are and flank, or get cover fire to move 🤙

The beginning tips about stopping and scanning seems like such an obvious thing, but you would be surprised at how you, as a gamer, can forget that tip. Especially if you play other FPS games that are fast paced. Taking your time, slowing it down, using your eyes and cover - its a must. I forget from time to time because I'm just wanting to rush in (despite the games can go on for 1hr30m, not need to rush at all times). Whether because I'm frustrated or I been getting a lot of kills.

I find myself coming back to this video fairly often before I start playing for the day, just to remind me of the tips to be successful. And it always works. This is by far the best video for new and vet gamers to watch.

Good shit Brit, we appreciate

Hell Let Loose, more like. One team puts hell into our team so we lose 3 rounds in a row.

doesnt matter how good you are when 75-80% of the player base on your team refuses to build garrisons, drop supplies, and build nodes to help the whole team. And that's a crucial part of the game. this game isnt a run and gun call of duty style game which the 75-80% think it is.

I just got the game yesterday and had no clue on how to play, kept on finding myself eating bullets. This video has given great advice for new players like me

Literally played this game for the first time the other day and I’m hooked. It’s incredible! It’s so rewarding and suppression is palpable.
