Shooting down a drone- there is a reason bird hhunters use shotguns not rifles, an airborne object in motion is almost impossible to hit with a single projectile. The other problem is the projectiles from a shotgun have a short range because there is not enough mass and gravity wins.

I hope people can understand that it's not impossible to revise one's written language. After WWII, Japan massively revised its kanji writing system, basically reducing the number of Chinese characters from maybe 5000 own to 1000, and redesigning many archaic characters...and they even switched from right-to-left writing (yokomoji) to left-to-right writing, for horizontally oriented text. China, too, enacted massive changes in its 3000+ year old characters, creating the "simplified" kanji system that is much easier to learn. So I support this change going forward!

What the Russians fell into is called a “Pocket “, “Cauldron” or “Kettle” where they are cut off from logistical support being surrounded by enemy forces. This was a tactic that the Soviets did against the Germans several times in WWII but is now being done to themselves. An obvious scenario when flanks aren’t protected.
