according to the manual, the m.2 slot is pcie only, so it won't take m.2 sata drives.

Nice video. Maybe the m.2.slot is an NVME only slot. Not all m.2 slots are sata and nvme compatible

That rig aint gonna get verified in a long time like that. Garbage disc and no RAM.
And drop the 8x4090 plans and do 4x4090 at full bandwidth speed.
Then you can directly slot 2x4090 in the board and only need to buy 2 re-drivers. Plus you will actually have a chance to get verified. But need min 256gb ram + decent disc like sn850x.

Edit. Also dont scimp on ram-speed, get 3200 mhz.
