Nice video Clay, and I agree with the variable training to build feel although I don't know that I'd use my gaming irons, maybe pick up a cheap/used 6 iron to save marks on the hosel and toe from your gaming clubs.
I also recommend another form of variable training that I use on the range w good success. Basically I'll set up at the range and i randomly pull one club out of my bag, choose a target, go through my entire preshot routine and then hit the shot. After that I rest that club on my bag and randomly pull another club out and do the exact same thing except I will change the target. I do this until I empty my bag (save for the putter). This is as close to simulating a real round of golf just on the range. The rule is you cannot hit the same club twice no matter how good or bad the result. The range session may not go great but your next round out will! I highly recommend this technique and it will make your range sessions more interesting!

One suggestion - buy painters edging tape and put on your clubface. You will immediately see where you are striking the ball. After a handful of swings get a new piece of tape.

There are lots of ways to mark the club face to track impact but regarding this product, there are adhesives that would allow them to sell the heel and toe pads where you'd be able to affix them to your clubs temporarily. I'm not inclined to buy a $100 practice club.

I bought one of these and after two hits, the material at the toe started parting from the club. Also, the grip is like holding onto a brick and it has an odor of an oily engine. Hit 50 balls with this club and then hit your own. Your palms will not only be sore, but they will smell awful.
