There are a variety models that can be used to fund multistakeholder approaches to address a range of socioeconomic challenges. Innovative finance sessions will focus on the impact opportunities from blended finance, understanding alternative credit models and managing risk, the range of innovative finance tools available, how innovative finance can improve organisational sustainability, and how corporates can contribute to strengthening social infrastructure.
Sazini Mojapelo is the managing principle, responsible for Corporate Citizenship for Africa at Absa Group Limited. She has expertise in the development and execution of strategic plans linked to business development, focused on small enterprise development, creating shared value, sustainability and financial inclusion. Sazini graduated from Harvard Business School with a double majors degree in Sociology and Industrial Psychology. She also holds a Masters in Development Studies from the University of Cape Town. Prior to joining Absa, Sazini was the CEO and co-founder of Hand in Hand Southern Africa, a nonprofit that focused on small business development in peri-urban and rural areas, with special focus on youth and women.
