That "Ahsarah" guard and "Haavk" corpsman really ran into swordfighting distance while wielding firearms with an effective range of at least 400 meters.

(I'm assuming the automatic rifle the corpsman is using is an assault rifle with an intermediate cartridge .... while the old battle rifle the other guy is presumably using would have an even greater effective range and would lack automatic fire, even more reasons for him to stay at a distance).
