I owned a 1st generation BRZ with the 6 speed manual. I used it to commute to work (150 miles) 240km round trip and it was a great car to drive. I put four snow tires on and it handled the winter weather quite well as long as you didn't get into the deep stuff. It was very good on fuel, reliable and just made you giggle every time you pushed it hard into the corners. I put 50, 000km on it in one year and I'd gladly buy another if it fit my lifestyle. I have the GR86 version of the platform as my daily. It’s is a great car, there are some trade offs when it comes to being a daily, but it’s worth it in my opinion.
