The day after I met my sweetheart of 3 years, he called me while he was out fishing. When I asked him if he had his bluetooth in, he told me he didn't have one and he was holding the phone with his shoulder while throwing casts.
He did this for 2 hours. I know it doesn't sound like much but the fact that he would fuck up his neck and shoulders just to get to know me still warms my heart 🥲

To be clear!!!!🚩🚩 I believe in waiting for a real commitment, but women are barely even getting a second date and a few conversations before they are in bed now days. Everyone isn’t sexually conservative. Even so, if you must jump in bed, at least try to get some sign or signal of emotional substance first. That’s the point of this video. Not to encourage premature sex.

YES! I used to date someone who would give me a small gifts but they were a means of control and I did not understand the difference between gift-giving for control and gift-giving for care. I'm in a relationship now where it is new yes but it would seem I get gifts from care and concern as opposed to control. For example my ex would give me a piece of jewelry then try to use the dollar amount to justify his lack of doing dishes or sweeping the house. Yes my new boyfriend lives far away but when I told him my socks had holes I laughed about it and said I need time to stitch them and before I knew it there were a few new pairs in my mailbox. I can't tell you how sweet that was to me. I don't know what he spent on them and it really does not matter to me just the fact that I told him my socks have holes and he provided me with socks made me feel very secure in the fact that he is concerned for me and my person and not a dollar amount

Men can not fake anything for long my good sis. You have to be more careful with yourself when YOU like someone. Just because you feel that way doesn’t mean he does. It’s nice to have a good gauge of how he expresses himself and if he’s genuine. Also, setting standards IS important. Set standards that are not aligned with financial, or material. Emotional and sustainable standards like respect, care, consistency, and obligation are a good few.

Yes, you are right about everything. My guy is constantly buying me outfits, planning outings. and doesn't have the best work schedules so he is consistent with our commitments. I am not used to this because I haven't seen this since my college years. He texts throughout the day and calls every day. I give him everything he deserves because I've seen his struggle and it is similar to what mine once was.
He's emotional and so am I-very different than what I'm used to. I appreciate where we are. I'm grateful too!
