A couple is given a certain amount to spend on their wedding. However, the groom must plan every detail of the entire wedding by himself, including choosing her dream wedding dress.

Don’t Tell the Bride is a wedding show like no other; instead of the wedding you want, it’s the wedding you’ll never forget – hopefully for all the right reasons! Each episode follows a couple through the entire process of organising a wedding, but the twist is that the bride has absolutely no involvement. For better or for worse, she has agreed to hand overall control of the wedding to the groom. She has no idea where she’s getting married, who is turning up or even what she is wearing until the big day itself. The couples are separated for the month leading up to the big day and the groom has to pull off the whole thing in secret. Will the relationship survive the strain? Will the groom succeed in pulling together the perfect wedding? And is his idea of perfection anywhere near hers?

The dress with the wellies, I thought that dress looked really good on her. It's not what she would have picked, but he did pick out a good dress. The shoulder pads & high neck, I feel like he picked his mother's wedding dress.

I think that it is reasonable to expect the man you are going to marry and who claims to love you to pay attention to your style and what you like. It's funny how much we have normalized men not caring to the point that some of us are getting angry at the brides for being disappointed instead of getting angry at the grooms for failing so badly.

If you have good communication and ya’ll not only listen but *hear* one another then this should be an ok situation… all you’d have to do is a lil planning. Sit him down, plan your wedding, show him your list of “Yes, No, and HELL NO!”. Talk it all out and it could be kinda fun!!
I have 110% faith my SO and I could do this with minimal drama… I’m just a control freak, so…
Ive always liked the idea of HIM picking 3-5 dresses and I pick the final from those…

I agree with most of the comments: why do this show? The wedding dress is usually the 1st you pick out. Personally yours. Why go along with a show like this? Bride is making poor choices BEFORE marriage!
