It's to be no less than 5 feet away for whisper test meaning she can be 5.5 feet away and it's to be a harsh whisper that means yelling by whisper

That is not how you give the whisper test pursuant to DOT regulations.

The patient show not be further than 5 feet away AND the ear being tested should be facing the physician to hear a FORCED WHISPER.

No 1 mistake made is they are not there for your benefit when taking the exam.Unless your perfect in every way docs are not going to risk any liability passing you.Dot just needs a scapegoat to lay blame on.Never admit or reveal any health issue becuase they will throw a red flag at anything that may disqualify you.When you walk in you are in perfect health.They are not there for your benefit if you are doing a dot physical.Tell them nothing or they will use it against you.Even a harmless answer will hurt you.

I’m six foot tall I can’t touch the floor when I bend over like that. Is that a fail? Also, isn’t measuring blood pressure after doing all these tests a chance to make it go up even if slightly? Why isn’t blood pressure measured first when the person is a bit more relaxed. Doing all that and at that pace could skew the results, no?
