If you need to more or less need to trick your parents/guardians into getting a binder, there are these equestrian sports tops called Cheta trotter bras that are pretty much binders marketed at cis women. They’re kinda expensive but work very well, even on large chests

Tips: NEVER EVER run with a binder on. A few days ago I had a binder on and had to run in PE and at first I got used to it, but since I had to bind for 4 hours later, everything was hurting and my lungs and chest and ribs all hurt in unison and I survived but it definitely made my whole day bad and I hurt so much that I had to stay in bed after school

I’ve tried those horrible cheap clip binders from eBay and Amazon, one of those was my first binder, which I threw out because THEY DO NOT STRETCH. THEY DO NOT LET YOU BREATHE COMPLETELY. I couldn’t donate it because it would only hurt someone else’s lungs.

A WARNING: I haven't used a binder yet, but I do use sports bras. If you wanna be super technical they're training bras which DEFINITELY do not fit me anymore. I used to bind for days at a time because I thought "it's not a real binder, it's probably fine."

Do NOT do what I did. My ribs may not be bruised but, as far as I can tell, it's fucked with my breathing. Constantly throughout the day(even when I'm not binding) I have periods where I feel like I can't breath. So I have to take a large breath in and people usually think I'm sighing. This isn't medical or anything but it's definitely still something you should avoid.

I bought a binder for an underclassman and am putting a "binding 101" thing together with everything important in it and this was a huge help!! thank you! :)

kt tape isnt inherently dangerous, its literally athletic tape. you can wear it for several days. the only thing you have to be conscious of is how many times you are taking it on and off, even the company said it can take a little bit of skin cells off. and if you are repeatedly removing and applying it without washing your skin it can lead to infection. its an option for those who want to take a break for a couple of days from a conventional binder!

What if you're in a group in which you have to breathe a lot or sing? For instance, I am in my school's a capella group, and while I am not out yet, I do have a binder that I'm planning to wear to school.

I’m lucky that I’m good at sewing, so I sewed myself a binder. I’m doing research to make sure that I did it properly, so while there’s a little bit of a bump on my chest, I figured that it’s much more important to be safe than flat.

I’m starting out with one hour, and I’m gonna add one hour of binding per day until school starts so that I’m used to wearing it by the time it’s important for me to wear it, and I plan to stop if something seems off.

I used tape to bind when i was younger and i have scars from it..it was very painful to take them off (obviously). Amazon/ebay binder don't bind well and are painful and also very unhealthy (i use a binder from amazon since 1 year because i have no other option at this moment ). I don't even know why I'm commenting this😅 i guess nobody cares well..bye

Oof watching this video in contrast with your first binding 101 video just shows much more happy and confident you are now! It’s super cool and gives me hope lol

Another little tip. I have had my GC2B binder since october (my first one was a bad Amazon one) and just recently I realized that you should not wear a sports bra under your binder. It makes it harder to breathe and makes it harder to have a flatter chest. Also it loosens your binder after one wear, making you have to wash it more often. Washing my binder often has helped me feel better when I do wear it. (Only wash your GC2B binder on delicate in a washer or hand wash and hang dry it.

hey I have a question, you said that binding 'down' was recommended by you doctor, but i have seen many many people saying that binding 'up' was safer. Which is safest? (does this even make sense lol sorry)

my current binder is one i made myself. i’ve gone through a couple iterations of it to get this one, and it works okay. i’ve never had a, like professional binder, but i feel like one might work better than the one i use now, so i’ve been considering getting one from gc2b. thing is i’ll have to ask my mom, and while i’m like 97% sure she’ll be supportive and great about it, it’s a freaking awkward conversation and i have a ton of social anxiety, so i haven’t brought it up yet... how did you go about asking your parents for a binder, if i may ask?

I can´t get one cus the only person that knows in my family is my mom but she´s not very supportive. Me and my older friend who´s already binding and have been for a few years are trying to get one without my parents knowing. He´s so awsome I don´t know what I´d do without him

I mean I’m already pretty small chested. But I bind anyway. And don’t be like me and sleep in it. Dysphoria is hell. Also Flavnt streetwear has great binders. You can use it to swim in it.

i've been told that the 'right' way to position your chest was up and on the sides, because positionning it down wasn't good for the skin. I don't know if that's true and i'm not a doctor, but positionning my chest up does work for me, it makes the bumps look like pecs
